I'm struggling to find information on best plans for good views of shows without a dinning package. Anytime I ask on other platforms or try to find a blog post the recommendations are to do a dessert party or a dinning plan. Those aren't in our budget .

For Fantasmic right now the calendar is showing one show at 915. What time should we arrive to have a decent view?

For HEA what time should we steak out our spot for 9:20 showing? Where is a good place to watch from? Castle Projections are a must.

Waiting before the shows is not a problem.

Thanks in advance!

We have always had great views without doing a dining package. For Fantasmic we probably arrived about 45 minutes prior to the show. This was years ago though, so I have no idea how early people arrive now.

For fireworks I’ve walked up five minutes before the start and gotten great views on Main Street right at the break where people can cross between Casey’s and The Plaza.

I know lots of people claim their spot in front of the castle for the fireworks. Some get there an hour or two before. You could claim your spot whenever you want. Unless you are sitting on a curb I’d think your spot will move a little as people fill in.

There’s lots of great views in front of the castle. Just pick where you think you’ll see best keeping in mind you will be surrounded by thousands of people.

one thing to remember with Fantasmic you will be on the sides as center sections as dining package people. there are good views from the sides but if center is a must you will need the package

We often arrive right at show time. The dining package section don’t always fill up, and they do open the remaining seats to anyone shortly before showtime.

I went last month and walked off TSM at 9:30 when the park closed so it was too late to ride Slinky again - I had done it earlier that night so no big deal. Fantasmic had a second showing at 10 and I casually walked in there, bought a Mickey ice cream sandwich, and walked down to the 3rd row in the center. There are usually no dining packages for the second showing.

When I saw Fantasmic in the end February this year the dining package people did not have both center sections. They had center right and I was able to pick a seat in the center left section. I was tired so I got some food and went in quite early. There were definitely good seats available 30-40 minutes before showtime. How early to go in depends on how busy the time of year is also.

The hour or so before the first and/or only showing of Fantasmic is the very best time of the day for finding short lines on the DHS headliners.

We prefer a couple more rides on Rise, or 3 or 4 trips through Tower or TSM over arriving at the show early.

Thanks all. As of right now the calendar only has one showing on it. It will be a Tuesday in late June. I'm not sure if they typically add/finalize closer to the dates or not.

I don't want to spend the extra but I did peek at package availability for our dates and there was still a lot to be had 42 days before our trip..
