I know at the Disneyland site there is a calendar with hours & some show times. Is there another site that shows schedules of shows that are not included on those(Like Playhouse Disney for example is not included)? I know at Disneyworld there is so I just thought I would ask. THANKS!!

I have the PlayHouse Disney shedules from Disney.com. You just put in the dates you are going to be here and up pops a schedule. This is different from the month view calendar. It shows Princess Faire, Jedi Training, Aladdin, etc.

I see that most of the shows are in the schedule. What about the Brother Bear one at DCA? If it is not on there does that mean that it is not showing at all?

Brother Bear is one of those shows that will be listed on the Times schedule that you can get at the front gate, but generally is not listed on the Disneyland.com ent. schedule. It runs year around, and there are 3 or 4 shows daily, depending on park hours. Sword in the Stone is another one that isn't on the website, but does occur daily.

Thanks. Do you know if they are usually around the same times each day & if so when that is? Thanks

They do keep the same schedule daily, and add extra shows when they expect larger crowds. I don't know the times off-hand. That's a good question for someone with a recent times schedule.

Thanks, maybe someone else will respond with that info. You seem to have lots of knowledge on DL. Do you have a suggestion on which few rides to do first to avoid crowds. I have a DD3 so the smaller rides. Also, any hints on finding characters? Sorry so many questions. We go to Disney World every year but this is our first DL trip! Thanks again!!

Can you tell me what day you are going to be there, where you are staying and how many days you will be in the parks? Are you wanting to know for DL or DCA or both?

We are going Thursday May 8th to DCA & Friday May 9th to DL. We are using the 2fer ticket so can not park hop. So, one park each day. We are staying off site. Thanks so much for all your input.

DCA (not necessarily in this order -- there really isn't a need for a specific itinerary at this park, but these will appeal to your youngin):

Monsters, Inc.
Animation Studio (Turtle Talk w/Crush, Ursula's Lair, Beast's Library)
Drawn to the Magic show in Hollywood Backlot (can meet 3 characters there)
Playhouse Disney
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (Brother Bear Show)
Bug's Land rides and water fun (bring suit to get wet)
-avoid Bug's Life 3-D -- SCARY!
King Triton's Carousel
Golden Zephyr

Not sure how tall your dd is, but if she measures up:

Jumpin Jellyfish
Soarin

DLR: It is much more important to keep a schedule at this park

Peter Pan first (ALWAYS first)
Dumbo
Alice
Matterhorn
Teacups
Toad
(other FL rides in whatever order you want)

Once you're done with FL, other rides I'd recommend for her (not necessarily in this order):

Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters
Autopia (can't drive by herself, but can sit in front of the steering wheel, and you will push on the pedal for her)
If she likes Stitch, she can talk to him on his videophone in Innoventions. Top level.

Toontown (there may be a good time for this, but not sure when it would be since I believe TTMM happens that morning)

Princess Fantasy Faire if you have a princess freak. The line for greets will be horrible unless you get there right at opening (usually an hour after general park opening). Check the schedule for coronations and storytelling. These are both fun.

Tiki Room
Aladdin & Jasmine's Storytime Adventures (CUTE!!!)
Jungle Cruise
Tarzan's Treehouse
Pirates
Haunted Mansion
Pooh (catch Pooh, Tiger and Eeyore outside after the ride for a meet/greet)
Pirates Lair / TSI

I'm probably forgetting something important -- I'm on allergy meds and kinda loopy. Let me know if you need clarification on anything. :)

Wow! Thanks so much! You have greatly helped me out. What about Nemo? Is it something I should really consider skipping due to crowds?

Wow! Thanks so much! You have greatly helped me out. What about Nemo? Is it something I should really consider skipping due to crowds?

The only options that have worked for me for Nemo are (a) hopping in the que 5 minutes prior to official park closing (waited 20 min this way); and (b) asking to view in the alternate viewing room -- for handicapped accessible and those who have issues getting into the subs (I waited 10 min this way).

Not sure if your 3 yo will make it to park closing on Friday. But let me assure you, if you happen to skip it, it won't be the end of the world. It's definitely not the end all beat all of DL rides, and not on my "must do" list. It ranks around Autopia for me. I'll only do it if one of my kids are dying to go on it.

FYI, Pixar Play Parade has been cancelled/suspended for the past few days. No word on when its coming back.

Do ask before you head over to DCA to watch it.

I was actually thinking of skipping it anyway since it is long & I figured the lines would be crazy! I figure we will be back again sometime! Seriously thanks for all your help. I am sure I will be asking more very soon! I am all about the planning!

I am still trying to find the show times for both The Brother Bear one & Drawn To the Magic. All I have read is to look at time guides when I arrive. Is there really no way to find these show times somewhere before I go? I am going to DCA on May 8th. Thanks again!

brother bear may not be playing that day...

i see show times everyday for b.b. when i put my travel dates into the "disneyland resort day calendar" but b.b. doesn't show up for may 8th.

i'd love to know more about drawn to the magic, i've never heard of it.

Oh no! My DD3 is all about the characters & I saw that after the show the brother bear characters are there for meet & greet. Is there other times to find them if that show is not going on?

I'm almost certain that the Disney calendar just hasn't been updated to reflect the Bro Bear show. It will be on there soon. Based on April's calendar, here are the times it plays throughout the day:

11:30am 12:30pm 1:30pm 3:00pm 4:00pm 5:00pm

I'll keep an eye out for the Drawn to the Magic show times for ya.

Wow! Thanks! I will watch for Brother Bear on the calendar. If you find out anymore about the Drawn to the Magic I would love to know! THANKS!
