I don't know about you but the people at the nail salon think I am crazy.

Do you like to get neat stuff on your nails? I am always looking for new ideas.

Here is what I have now:

Snap! Click the picture to make it bigger, LOL

Sorry about the glare from the flash! Gotta love Mickey!

Aww they are nice and black for halloween! I saw you in the HM Lobby but didn't want to say "Nice nails!" infront of everyone for fear they would think I was crazy! lol

Woot Fly!! What fun! I think it's awesome that you're creative with your nails! I used to do so many crazy things with my nails pre-Monkey, when I actually had this thing called patience lol.

I guess I'm in a sharing mood, and I'm crazy... :rotfl:

These few below are all painted with nail polish. I used to paint a design on a nail and then wear it for a long time...usually putting clear coats on it over and over so it would eventually build up so much that the polish (whole design) just peeled off. This first one (tiger) was painted on a thumb nail...you can see the reverse side is just nail polish. The original drawing ends just below the dark brown color at the top -- as my nails grew, I would fill in the empty space with more polish. There is no nail here, just polish...

This next one is of a clown -- this one stayed on my nail for quite a while. Actually, when I first painted it, there were no flowers in his hat. I added those as my nail grew. The blue circle on the reverse side, was the original size of the painting on my nail. It's pretty thick, so it eventually just lifted off my nail. This pic is just polish, no nail.

This last one is of a landscape -- this one actually broke, so the nail is still underneath what's left of the painting. :scared1:

I used to love painting with polish -- I added a painting of a clown on canvas to my profile -- it's done in all nail polish. :goodvibes

I have a test on nail art/frnch manicure/nail design tomorrow. If my partner does a good job, I'll post a picture :goodvibes:

Very cool, ladies!

I used to do my own nails, but never did anything fancy. Then my natural nails started to thin out and reak easier. So, I stopped. I don't even use any polish on my nails as it tends to discolor them. Even clear will eventually turn them slightly yellow.

So, I stick to just natual nails. Unfortunately, right now a couple of them are a wreck!

My nails are horrible. The only way I can have long nails is to go to a nail salon and get acrylic nails! Mine just keep breaking once they get past the end of my finger!

The first 2 (clown and tiger) are just polish - I used so much clear on them over time, that they eventually peeled right off the nail. The 3rd one (the landscape), is a broken nail. :goodvibes

The little silver design is a flower with a diamond rhinestone in the middle

ok....

HAHA I just thought too myself, how bored I must be if I am looking on a nail polish thread!:lmao:

I have a horrible, disgusting, habit of bitting my nails...so my nails have not grown past my fingertips in years...in fact, I cannot remember a time they ever did lol. :upsidedow The only time I put care and effort into my nails are when I put on fake nails for nice events. I usually don't keep fake nails on for more than a day though since I play the piano and it's actually more benefitial for me to have my short nails lol.

This thread is very interesting I must say. I don't think I have ever seen such art on fingernails before...very creative. :thumbsup2

I use normal nail polish. Pink colored. It's always my cousins ideas. She thinks it matches me!

Here is what I have now. Dragonflies hand painted with 2 blue crystals for the eyes and 2 clear crystals for the body.

trying photobucket this time
