Here's two of mine that I was particularly happy with!! I can't direct link them to show up in the thread as I am too new apparently (had to reregister), but here are the links. Please take a look! Have to copy and paste the links.
I went on DDs field trip to St Augustine on Tuesday, and the area led me to be in a B&W mood - Here are just a couple. We did not get to see too much of the Spanish architecture that I hoped to see, we were mainly in the Castillo area. It was also hard to lag behind to compose some shots since I had to keep up with the group! I look forward returning on our own to explore further!

Two converted from a day in the Magic Kingdom - a nun going down Main Street and someone who was sitting on the curb opposite us while we waited for the afternoon parade
I read in an earlier post, pages back, that if you have a digitial camera, you should NOT use the B/W mode. Is this correct? Is it better to take the photo in color and then change it to B/W using a photo program on the computer? I am not a professional, so we need to keep it simple, please!
Oh, sorry for hi-jacking the thread. I have nothing to share...yet, but love B/W photos!

soupermom: yes. there probably is some 24 page reason why but personally i find my b&w setting to be kind of washed out looking vs the one i convert via alien skin or virtual photo. or some such program. plus you also have the color version as well...if you have raw you can shoot that in b& w but the file will have the color info so you can see what it will look like in b&w when you take it ( well kind of, just basic b& w) but not be locked into b&w
Ok everyone! - I was waiting for some humorous responses to my post and you CAME THROUGH! Spring break starts today at 2:10 p.m. and the kids are wild and wooly here at school!
