not using extension tube but i finally figured out how to use the 1:1 adaptar on my phoenix 100mm f3.5 macro...i was standing to close, need to stand about 1 ft away...the lens is a little over 100, i got one for $99 on ebay but it was for nikon not canon so mine i bought for i think 140 i'm impressed i have to say though...plus the 100mm is pretty sharp on it's own
the second is with out any adapter but probably a little farther than 1 ft away, the third is just normal, the first was on a tripod and i did the 20/60 adjust sharpening i usually do since i hadn't really thought of posting it for this... the last 2 i didn't since i was going to show them, just converted from raw. i almost sold this and spent 2x+ for a canon before i even really used it. it's not as large an aperture as the canon but a whole lot cheaper also! plus i really like the length, a little longer than my 50mm f1.8
i'm really shocked this is this sharp and so cheap
