Show Is Up!!!

As some people will tell you....its a ship, not a boat. You get on a boat if your ship is sinking.....just sayin....:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Someone really smart must have said that :)

I am so excited. I can more than likely make a Dec 10, 2010 cruise. YEAH!!!!!! Can't wait to get more details.

Kim

The date is December 12, 2010, not the 10th.

Just got off the phone with Disney. We have something else MAJOR to announce on the podcast cruise. I'm sliding off my chair I'm so excited about this!!! Some of you might want to think about being out in California during the week of June 15th. That's all I'm going to say right now. OMG!!!!

Pete

Oh crap, I come home from DL June 16th. :sad1:

Having server issues, which is why some of you can't see the show. Working on it now.

Pete

Thanks Pete!

Can you post again when it's all working right? I am *cough* meant to be *cough* revising *cough*.

Kevin has lost the title, Pete is the new King of Taunt
Really!! You guys are getting out of hand! Have some pity on those of us who have to stay behind and work! :sad1:

If the next cruise really is 12/12/10 than I can't go :sad1: We cannot take any time off from Thanksgiving week until Jan 2nd. Oh well, maybe by then I will be at a different job (hopefully!)

A LOT of people can't get time off between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Maybe all will be revealed on the podcast about why this date was chosen but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I UNDERSTAND, REALLY, that not everybody is going to be happy about the dates no matter what date you chose, but why ask if we want inexpensive, and then go the week before the holidays? Not an inexpensive time for anybody, and its probably the worst possible date for anybody going to school or having kids in school, as that puts you at the end of a semester and exam weeks. :confused3

does seem kind of odd

I can tell you that this was the lowest priced date of all the dates the team was looking at. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas is actually a good time price wise to cruise and still avoid hurricane season.

It's great that you're moving around the Podcast events - different coasts, different months - allows everyone a chance to participate in the FAB stuff y'all plan. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to them all, but I'm delighted for all your listeners. :grouphug:

Thx a mint, Pete! :thumbsup2

cheers,
:flower3:

That date's a bummer for us too ..... :sad1: I got excited at the prospect of the chance to catch Podcast Cruise #2, but I don't think we'll be able to make this one either. We're a blended family with one child (who will be a senior then) who lives out of state - we TRY really hard to plan "family" trips to include ALL of our kids, so this would definitely leave us out..... there's no way her mom would agree to let us pull her out of school for a week, during exams, right before Christmas break! :headache:

It's a bummer to be left out of the "club", but I also understand you can't please all the people, all the time.....:guilty:
Maybe one day ........ :grouphug:

Maybe I can ease your confusion.

As you can imagine, choosing a date can be extremely difficult. Pleasing everyone is impossible.

If you look at the thread at the top of the Dis Unplugged board, the majority said that price was the most important factor. The December date is the lowest pricing during all of 2010.

You also have to keep in mind that availability is an issue.

If your kids are out of school, you are looking at double or even triple the price and crowded ships. This offers far less flexibility.

We looked at June, July and August and they are just ridiculously priced. As we asked your opinion and the majority said lower prices, we went with that. Had we picked summer dates and the cost was three times as high, we would have people ask us if we were crazy.

I'm sorry this doesnt work for you.

I just found out that my University breaks up on the 10th of December next year, and my birthday is on the 16th, and it was a possible time I was going to go with my boyfriend.....

things MIGHT slot into place! :cool1:

However if I do, it will be my boyfriend's FIRST trip to Disneyworld, so you have to be nice to him!

It might be that's when we go to Disney, but maybe not a cruise, but just participate in the before and after events.

We'll see!!

My college age kids will have finals that week so a good time to go for us. While they study I get to play. lol

thats cool and I can understand that, tho even with a low price for the cruise for many december is an expensive/hetic month without throwing in the cruise. I still am going to see if I can work a bit of Disney magic and get the time off. :wizard:

Thanks to Pete, Kevin and all involved in setting up the next cruise.

I know there must be a lot of headaches and heartaches involved. But also heartfelt thanks.

Now that I have the date of my prize / incentive, I can set a realistic weight loss goal! Wish me luck!!!

Is it a 4 or 7 night?
December of 2010 will work for us. This is our business slower time just before the holidays and when we usually take a vacation.....so things will fit right into place :cheer2:YIPEE!!!!! Am actually planning a WDW trip for Dec 2010 with a bunch of my family......mmmmmmm wonder if I can talk them into a cruise instead.

Thank you, thank you, thank you :worship::worship::worship:
