We had two very good TS dinners

The Brown Derby-We were immediately seated right at our ADR time. Our server was very nice and very helpful/Informative. We were doing the Fantasmic dinner package so we all got to choose an app, entree and dessert. Both my kids got the chicken noodle soup (very good) as an app. I forget what they had as their entree and they had those little "dirt" desserts with the gummy worms for dessert

DH and I split the spring roll app and the Cobb salad, both were very good! We both had the filet too. We had eaten @ some place called "Charley" off site for a work function he had while were there and the steaks were BETTER @ the Brown Derby and I'm pretty sure the one @ Charley's was pricier. I had the grapefruit cake for dessert. I was not a fan but I am def more of a chocolate girl :)

Narcoossee- Sat within 10 minutes of our ADR. Had an amazing waiter who was part of the original staff when Walt Disney World opened. He was obviously an older gentleman and told us that out of all the original CM's there were still 171 still working in the park. It was very interesting to talk to him.

Kids had the chicken noodle soup again (very good) and DD had some type of pasta and DS had a burger. Both looked good. My kids rarely eat, they really didn't eat this meal either but that's not really any indication of the quality of the food.

DH and I split the calamari. It was very good. It was flash fried. We also split a ceaser salad that was very good. DH had the Tuna (very fresh and not "fishy" at all), it was very good but pretty spicy (we like spicy). I had the filet with risotto. It was excellent! Very tender and again much better then the "Charley's" steak we had off property.

We all had Nemo cupcakes for dessert. They were ok. They had butter cream icing and hadn't sat out long enough so the icing was still hard. I bet they would have been very good if we had waited to eat them or taken them back to the room with us.

We would definitely return to both of them! We were very pleasantly surprised. We travel often and eat at tons of restaurants and these both very good.

Thanks for sharing! We just added Narcoossee to our line-up for August and I'm really excited to try it!

We went to Narcoossee on our last trip, in 2007, and both hubby and I loved it. He talked about it all the time even after we got home. We also timed it right so we saw the Electric Water Pageant while we were eating dinner. It was fantastic and if we hadn't decided to try all new places on our Oct. trip, I know we would be going back.

Sounds like both were great, I have dined at Narcossees twice and love their calamari.

I haven't tried either of them yet, but it sounds like I need to add them to my line-up! Thanks for the reviews :)

Thanks for the review. We are planning on going to Brown Derby in August. I am glad it did not disappoint. Just wondering about the grapefruit cake. I am a chocolate girl by heart also, but I am really wanting to try this cake. Was there anything in particular you did not like about it? I love grapefruit too. Thanks.

I am not the OP, but I did try the grapefruit cake at BD and I just didn't think it was that great. I am a graprefruit lover, too! It tasted bitter and was a little stale and soggy.
