DH watched the travel channel special and thought this looked kinda fun. I have no interest. Is it an all night affair? or could he "buzz through" in a couple hours, such that DD, BIL and I could wait for him while dining at Margueritaville. I don't think he'd care whether he did the rides or not.

It's meant to be an all night affair that involves the haunted houses, shows, street scare zones, and rides. He could probably "shorthand" the event in a matter of hours if it was a non-peak night and he bought the express pass.

If it's a peak night, it would take much longer even with the Express Pass because the express pass wait can be 15 minutes or longer for each house (regular wait times can go upwards of two hours) and getting through the throngs of people to make your way around the park to the houses can be time consuming.

He'd probably have more fun if somebody would go with him & make a scary evening out of it!

Definitely an all-night event. I'm sure he'd enjoy it, heck, you might even enjoy it :) It's a good event and all in good fun. If you were staying onsite, you could possibly go ahead and wait for him in the hotel as it would be some time, as the user above said, some lines on peak nights can go upwards of two hours (I've seen worse, but we'll say two hours hehe)

Thanks for the replys. Maybe I can talk BIL into going with him and DD and I will hang out back at WDW.

I am REALLY not into scary or startling at all. I hate Horror movies. MNNSHP is just my speed.

BIL might be ok with it, he just hate loud bangs (puts earplugs in for fireworks and doesn't even like the Dinosaur ride because it's too loud.) Are there lots of loud bangs?

Offhand in the past years I can't recall any loud bangs.
May have been one or two in the "gang yard" area last yr, but nothing out of control.

Loud noises abound. There will be no shortage of loud music, pyro, chainsaws, motorcycles, scareactors banging on various metal props and of course screaming. A volatile Halloween party atmosphere, basically. Besides the music played prior to the Bill & Ted show (which you can feel all the way up into your chest if you're close enough to the speakers), I don't think there's anything quite as annoying as Dinosaur though.

Wife feels the same way. We're driving up Oct 1st. Visting IOA in the morning. Then I'm going to HHN while she stays in the room.
