my familly and i are going to wdw in november to celebrate my daughter's first b-day. i have 2 older girls ages 6 and 8 who dance and would love this show, i was just trying to decide if we should try it or wait until my girls are older?my b-day present from my family was to pick one thing i really want to do and plan it and no one would complain!!! this was one thing i was considering.

We went last August when my girls were 13, 11 and 2 and we all loved it. My youngest was spell bound by the constant movement (acrobatics, stunts, trapeze, unicycles, etc) and the colorful acts. Even my DH who hates "shows" liked it. It's expensive, so try to use some sort of discount (AMEX or Disney Club or something......), but I would go. It's really something special to see.

They'll love it! Have you ever seen any Cirque shows? If not, be prepared to be hooked once you do. LOL
I still remember vividly the first one I went to in California while there on business 8mo pregnant with my 2nd child. And ever since then we HAVE to go see every show that comes to the Dallas area- and ofcourse I had to see the show at DTD also. :)

I think their ages are fine. I know my 9yr old and 5yr old would LOVE it. The only reason we haven't taken them so far is up till now I thought my youngest might not enjoy it (she barely sits still for an animated movie- although she might surprise me) -she's 3 now and the next show we'll probably try taking her. Well honestly another reason we haven't taken the kids is because I really enjoy being able to watch it enthralled MYSELF the entire time. And we don't go out alone often at ALL- hardly ever. So I move mountains to find a way for us to go alone and we always have a wonderful evening. :)

But anyway,I think they'd love it. There's my 2 cents. :)

At six and eight, I'd consider bringing my kids - but be aware of both the costs and the rules. I think if you have to go to the bathroom during the show, you may need to wait to re-enter until there is an appropriate break - which would be my biggest concern with little kids. No taking them out for potty, water, or a break in the action. Its an expensive show if you don't see it.

But very cool. And your kids will probably enjoy it.

Forgot to add, that on some nights there are two shows. We took the earlier show because of my then almost 3yr old. We made a reservation for dinner on Pleasure Island right after the show...which was also fun.

Wow, why do they have those kind of rules there at DTD? They certainly haven't at all the shows here in Dallas, Texas! In fact they will escort you back and forth with flashlights should you need to take a break, go to the bathroom, etc.

I don't know that they do for sure. They did when they played here in Minneapolis. You needed to be reseated between acts. A girlfriend who took her two little ones missed half the show between potty breaks and one "I'm scared Mommy" fit. But hers were littler as well.

I'd just hate to go and THEN discover that they had similar rules. Call and ask.
