I dont know if i can keep this all to myself much longer :yay:

The flights are booked, the ADRs are done, i have an itinerary and i've even packed away all our summer clothes (in suitcases) but the one thing we havent done yet is tell the kids!

Actually we told the kids we WERENT going, becuase they werent keeping their rooms clean and kept forgetting to feed the dog :rotfl2: ... so they keep trying really hard but are starting to slack off a little.

Did you surprise your kids or tell them ahead of time? My boys are 12 and 6. My DD is 19 and in school so can't go but i dont think she'll spill the beans.

How did you tell them?

I struggle with this too. I think that you should tell them that if they want any chance of going then they need to keep up on their chores. I personally can not contain myself, especially at the date approaches, but you have plenty of time to make this work in your favor.

We are going to try and wait until the last possible moment to tell the kids. I think I can keep my big mouth shut but I worry about DH:eek:

Going through the same problem! I am dying to tell my son (12) that just him and I are going in December but it is suppose to be a surprise!

I have decided to tell him a few days before we leave instead of that morning (at 4 am) so he can gather what he wants to bring, his PSP, special pins, and he can have the excitement of going for a few days. We normally do the BIG countdown, he always helps me plan everything too.
