Hi all.

I am a longtime lurker, who is coming outta the woodwork a bit as our trip gets closer!

We are three women (ages 27-32) heading down for 10 days in September.

We are currently booked at POP, and have upgraded to dxddp. We are all low maintenance people and think the look of POP is hilarious (in a good way), but I'm starting to doubt our choice..mostly because of the double beds. Obviously with 3 of us (not enough to merit 2 rooms, but almost too many for 1..sigh), we will have to rotate sharing.

Not a huge deal, we are like sisters, but for $110 extra each, we could upgrade to PO (R or FQ) or to CSR for an extra $200 each...

are we insane not to do one of these instead??? POP is so "Disney hilarious", but would we be much more comfortable at a queen bed mod/resort? Enough of a difference to make the $$ worth it? We plan on being out at the parks most of the time, but still the sleeping thing...

gah! help!

I would probably upgrade. I don't even like sharing a double bed with my husband.
Also, unless you're going to have a car, getting to all your meals for deluxe dining may be frustrating. I guess it depends on how you're planning your meals though, because a moderate won't necessarily be any more convenient.

Well, sounds like you guys would enjoy Pop and have fun there - we really like Pop!

We enjoy POFQ - but oh, I think Pop is just more fun and love the theming, if fun to walk around and check it all out!

the $110 difference, seems basically it comes down to $110 more per each of you for having an extra 6 inches of bed. I don't think it's a huge enough difference, especially if you think you'll enjoy Pop, to switch.

You could always bring a single blow-up mattress and bedding to Pop.

I have never stayed at POP but I have stayed at CSR and CBR.

I think you might be a bit cramped in the smaller rooms and beds at POP. So, I would make the switch.

Right now, there is the Late Summer discount and it might be a good deal for you.

With the moderates, the rooms are a bit bigger, and CSR has the nice doors between the bathroom area and the room itself. With the switch to moderate, you all might like the different choices available with the restarants along with the pools with slides.

We stayed in the standard view at both CSR and CBR and the rooms were nice. There is lots of nice landscaping around so we couldn't see the parking lot and we were close to two bus stops.

We have stayed at POP, CSR and FQ and I would upgrade to CSR or FQ for the extra room/bed area with 3 adults.

If you are dividing the cost of the room IMO a moderate would be a more "peaceful" stay for 3 ladies.

FYI: We like Casitas 4 at CSR because it is closest to the first bus stop going and coming.

I think FQ and Riverside have double sinks for getting ready AND a boat to DTD for extra dining options which CSR does not.

CSR is nice for young ppl such as yourselves. if it matters to you, they have a bar with a dj at nite.

Honestly thou, i love POP. its fun. but POR is great too. So gorgeous! Plus the boat to DTD is a nice perk.

Since youre going for 10 days, if you dont mind dishing out $200 for CSR id pick this. Otherwise POR would be my choice. But you cant go wrong with either resort, even pop. Theyre all great.
One bonus for staying at Pop is you can visit the Art of Animation right next door. its a short walk over the bridge.

Upgrade! Sharing a double bed would get old very quickly. And with the small bath as well it would be a challenge. I would go for CSR - still the Disney theme-ing and feel, but more space, more dining options, nice pool, better bathroom, queen beds, etc. I'm sure POFQ would be fine too but I would go for CSR!

Have you thought about a suite at AoA? Three beds and an entirely Disney theme. Would probably be a little more, though.

Don't know if you have thought of this or done the disneynmath :teacher: but... Ya know if u upgrade to a mod, and assuming u have the free dining promo, u get the regular dine plan for free! So, u could end up saving on dining plans and upgrade to a moderate then may be even more economical. :)

I've stayed with 2 other ladies in a value, and hardly even knew them when I did it. It was totally fine! It is small, but, it is all about how much time you will be in the room.

If you think you will get on each other's nerves, then I'd upgrade. Otherwise, I would stay at Pop. (I am cheap like that though.) Although....10 days in a long time in that small room. You could do a split stay if y'all are up for it...give yourselves a change of scenery?

I'd upgrade but I would hate to be in such a small space with two other adults. I also like the extra amenities at a moderate.

I recommend one of the Port Orleans resorts.

for adults I do not recommend values...IMHO, and its just IMHO there are many more little kiddo's and much more noise around pool (notice I said pool, singular, as in no quiet ones,
which at POR you get many pools, quiet and main one, which is great and 2 bars, 1 in and one by pool)
so yeah, for me, when friends ask, I steer them to mods over values and they have always had a great time....POr and POfq are both great....think youd like either...and 10 days ..youll likely want a pool day and a shopping day/night, POR and POFQ both have the boat directly from resort to DTD, which you should def visit...
have a wonderful time, after all, its disney.............:dance3:

I would upgrade for sure, when we stayed at Pop there was my adult daughter and her 8 year old daughter. We took turns letting the 8 year old sleep with each other. I have to admit it was a little cramped and uncomfortable with her in my bed. I guess I'm used to a bigger bed where I can stretch out without touching someone :rotfl: Plus she tosses and turns a lot and I couldnt get to sleep. When she slept with her mother, her mother kept saying sit still :rotfl2: I think with 3 women you would totally enjoy a moderate resort better than a value. They have hot tubs and on site restaurants except POFQ. The values seem to have more kids around with more noise where as the moderates seem more peaceful and relaxing. You could do a split stay 5 days Pop and 5 days moderate resort. If it were me I would do a split stay at 2 different moderates. I like the resorts as much as I do the parks.

I would at least get the roll-a-way bed if you decide to not up-grade - admit it is about the size of twin but you wn't have to share
