Dh and I are staying at CBR with our DS(3) and DD(18 mos) in April. This is out first Disney trip since having kids:woohoo: We are also bringing our DN (19) as a babysitter. Our DD still sleeps in her crib at home but she is a big girl (33" and 30#).princess: I'm worried that the crib WDW provides will only be a pack'n'play which is too small for her or a flimsy port-a-crib as it was referred to as in Birnbaum's book. Birnbaum's recommends renting a crib from Children's Rentals or All About Kids in Florida. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions? I considered just letting DD sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor, but she is a real handful and I'm worried that she wouldn't get sleep or WE wouldn't get sleep.

The last I heard disney uses pack n plays for cribs. We are bringing DS for the first time this May (he'll be 17 mo then) and are planning to bring our own PNP for him for two reasons ... 1. I am a germ -o -phobe and can't stand the thought of DS sleeping on a used PNP! 2. DS is a terrible sleeper and he is used to napping in his PNP every day & I am hoping that he will be more likely to sleep better on a familiar space.:)

We rented a crib last year from A Baby's Best Firend, there website is www.ABBF.com It was at the resort when we got there and it was so nice knowing we would have a real crib. I would recommend bringing your own sheets if you can, there's seemed kind of used.

DD sleeps in PNP at sitter's but will NOT sleep in one for us. I also considered getting a bed rail and sleeping with her in one bed, letting DS sleep with DH sleep in other bed and letting DN sleep on the cot. If we go with the PNP provided (we're flying and I don't think DH would be humored about bringing PNP) I will just sanitize the heck out of it before she sleeps in it. I usually bring own crib sheets anyway.

I would put her in the regular bed, she's big enough. She's as big as mine at 4!
That's what I always did when mine were babies, let alone toddlers and it always worked out great. I could never justify the cost in my brain for renting something that wasn't needed. I always thought wow that's a lot of snacks or a meal or two!
