I'm treating my MIL and SIL's family to a Disney trip, here is my question. If we go to MNSSHP, that would mean I would have to buy 6 adult tickerts and 1 child ticket.

My in-laws have never been to disney world before however they live by disneyland and have gone numerous times. They are not all that excited for MK, (because they are sick of disneyland) so I don't know if this would be a waste of $. Plus we are on the FT package so we will be in the parks for 7 days anyway.

Because I have never been, I need some advice. I don't want to get there and be depressed because it sold out and we missed out! What do you think?

Thanks!

I've gone to the MNNSHP party once before and it is my favorite thing to go to - we are headed back this year.
since wdw passes don't expire why don't you take it easy by the pool that day and take naps if necessary and then buy tickets just for that event that night?

when we went it was a great time to get on all the rides that tend to have long lines but the atmosphere was just unbelievable. the parade is awesome!! we had kids ranging from 3-8 and i couldn't believe every single one made it til the midnight closing.

i'd do it!! have fun

The tickets that come with the FTP are UPH which expire at midnight on check-out day

Depends on your group and what they are interested in. I found the event to be more geared towards children with trick or treating and costumes, etc. Not that many activities that are different than what you see during the day. The fireworks are awesome, the parade is one of the best that I have seen, but if those things aren't going to impress your group, might not be a great idea. Wasn't really over the top - we enjoyed it but were surprised that there weren't more extra activities going on. On the plus side, you won't have to deal with huge lines for the rides, but when are you going? Might not be busy anyways... With your FT pkg, you won't be able to save your park admission for future vacations, so that doesn't help you decide.

Bottom line, I'd go again because DD loved it. Without her, might not go... Just a thought, maybe you go to the party with some of your group and not include the ones that you don't think would enjoy it. How old is the child? That way, you don't miss out - if you do go, I highly recommend LTT for dinner. Our waiter was so great - all made up and acted very "dead." I would buy the tickets you definitely want now. If your undecideds change their minds you might be able to get tix at the gate.

I'll add to something Kaitysmom said.

DW and I (first empty-nester trip) will be there Oct 1-8. Normally the MK shuts down between 6 and 9 PM that time of year, so for us, having the MK open until midnight with reduced crowds is great - we're treating it more like an E-Ride night. I'm sure that we'll enjoy the Halloween theming too, but that's not our main focus.

But is sounds like that won't be of much value to your crew. However, a gentle reminder that DL and MK are NOT the same. We were at DL for the first time Sept 02 and really enjoyed it, despite previous trips to MK.

Good luck!
Erick

This might be a great night to split up. No one says ALL of you must go. Maybe you could go and see who else wants to go with you-sounds like something the child/children would enjoy!
