Should we pack beach towels?

It seems bulky to bring beach towels for the family along on the airplane. But we are likely to spend at least one day at one of the Disney water parks, not to mention CC.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

At the water parks you can rent towels for like $1 a piece.

At CC, you pick up towels as you get off the ship.

I wouldn't waste luggage space with towels.

I'm thinking a towel from CC would be the perfect souviner to bring home....and to bring a towel from home on the trip would be a waste of packing space.......

Save the space...and leave the towel at home:teeth: ...save room for that souviner.::yes::

I like a full size beach towel....ones on board are small....so I purchase a beach towel on each cruise...they always have beautiful ones in the gift shop and they make a great souvineer!!!

We just got back from the Magic. We like the big beach towels, so I packed 2 of my thinnest ones.(not worn, just made out of thinner material than some). We used them constantly. The Magic supplies real nice towels, but they arent that big. For laying on a chaise on the ship they are ok, but if you want to lay them on a beach, the big ones are nice to have. I have tons of beach towels as we have a pool, so I really didnt want to buy new ones there, saved my $$ for other stuff. Even if you rent a chaise on the beach, I dont like to "stick" to them without a full length towel! just my opinion!

Remember you can always ask for two towels if you are laying on the beach at cc

Dont bother they will give u as many as u like.....

When I do beaches on my own I pack the rattiest ones I have then leave them in the trash when we depart. Free's up space for the other stuff I'll get:)

What a pain to lug them around, and they take up WAY too much room in your bags. I never bring a towel on any trip, except maybe a hand towel for emergency in case we are between hotels and need to dry off some where (like when we stopped at the Dead Sea before we checked into our hotel, we enjoyed the water in the am while it was still cooler, and the water was still pretty warm (like a hot bath).

I don't like the ones on the ship, they are to small. This past cruise we were repeat cruisers so we gotthe castaway club towel but it didn't come until Wednesday so we had to buy one next to the pool the first day. I like a big fluffy wrap around towel and my daughter does too so we will just buy one every cruise now, we have a pool at home so we can always use extras for the towelless comapny that comes to use the pool!!

We too don't care much for the ones availble on the ship. We usually bring one beach towel (we bought two beautiful and large towels onboard the ship previously and also have our Castaway Club towels) and then use the other towel we get free in our stateroom as our CClub gift. There are two of us so it works out nicely. The little white towels are just that...too little.

Plus, the bulk and softness of the towels help when packing delicate souviners.

We always bring towels. I found some nice size ones that are thin enough to pack at the ABC Stores in Hawaii. They are a nice soft velour, just thin and they dry pretty fast. I also like them because I can fit 12 of them in my washer when only 5 normal beach towels fit. (Important because DH seems to use about 2 clean towels every day. ) Here's a link to the towels-

Also,...I am not sure what cruise you are doing, but when we were on the Eastern we saw sooooooo many beach towels for sale and they weren't that much (I think $5.00). If you go to the beach there are some people who walk up and down the beach and sell the beach towels (and they are great souvineers)
