Should we let our DD13 go to Mets Game...

Should we let our DD13 go to a Mets game with her friends family night prior to our early am departure?

Sure. Why not? As long as she is packed before going. If she is tired she will sleep on the plane or in the car. 13 yr olds have great recuperative powers. what a fun way to fill the time that seems to go so slow before you leave.

I would say it really depends on how far you are from Shea and what time your flight is. Shea is a mess right now with all the construction & parking problems. My DH who is a die-hard Mets fan will not go into Shea now because of the headaches. If the game runs late, it could be a really long night. She may be just getting home as you are getting ready to leave

I am not sure. in my experience, teens can go late and hard but then crash. I would hate for her to crash the first day of your trip. It would depend on what time you expect her home and what time early is.. All assuming that you are ok with her going to a mets game with her friends and that the only issue is her geting home late and then having to get up early.

Yes! As long as she is all packed and her clothes for the next morning are ready to go, then sure. You should also make her promise not to complain once that she is "too tired" the next day in Disney! She's not going to see her friends for awhile, so it would be nice for her to have one last hurrah before leaving.

If it were my DD, I'd say yes if she is willing to sleep a little extra and rest the day before the METS game and the day of the game. I think there is something to the whole sleep-bank idea.

Why not? At 13, she is at the age where she should be taking responsibilty for her actions. Besides, the Mets are the best team in the NL! LET'S GO METS!!

Well, we have to leave by 4:00 am Saturday. The Mets game is at 7:10 the night before. Hopefully no rain delay.

Just going to mentioned to her friends parents that she has to be home by 1:00 am and no later.

Good idea about the promise not complain. She is already willing to pull an all nighter.

Mets being the best team Ummm...
