Should we go with a 4 yr old

I'd say go!

Last year was our first trip and between my 3.5 and 5 year old they were the perfect age to enjoy so much!

Go - you will have a great time and seeing it through his eyes will make you so happy. We brought our dd last May at age 3. She loved it. She is tiny so she could not go on a lot of the bigger rides, but there is plenty for the little ones. I thought she would be afraid of the characters, so dh held her the first couple of times. Well after the 1st couple, she was running up to them and hugging them with so much joy and excitement. She loved the pool. When we arrived at the hotel and walked into the room, she said Ooooohhhhh!. Too funny.

She still talks about "the vacation" as she calls it. We are going again in October when she will have just turned 4 and she can't wait.

Bring a stroller (or rent one). Even if you end up pushing it around empty, you will have it if you need it. They get tired in the heat and excitement. Follow and go at your ds's pace. We had planned to do the early park, afternoon break routine. But dd was so tired at the end of the day, that we found it better to let her sleep a little later, have a slow morning eating breakfast and relaxing, and then going to the parks a bit later. You might want to plan a day in the middle of the week away from the parks at the pool.

We took our triplets when they were four. I thought it was the perfect age. We stayed onsite, took afternoon pool breaks, and took our our time in the parks. We did not use a stroller.

Definitely not too young as long as you try to schedule around him as much as possible. If he's tired, go back to the hotel. If he doesn't want to ride something, don't ride it. If he wants to play on one of the little playgrounds for an hour, let him.

My 4 year old son is extremely flexible and we would have a blast with him. Our 3 year old son is a little more troublesome, but he would still have tons of fun.

Unless this is going to be a once in a lifetime trip, I say go for it!

We just got back with 4yo DD and she LOVED it!!

Its never too early to take your kids to WDW. We came back about 2 months ago from our WDW trip with my baby-sister who was 13 months and she loved it.

You just need to know your child. My children have been at least once a year since they were 9 mths old. I swore I would never take a child that young but to see their enthusiasm each trip and how it has changed through the years has been awesome. Plus, when they turn 4 they know more of the characters and understand more. It is soooo much fun to see how excited they are at all that goes on.

It is a perfect age. I think it is the age when the magic is most real. My favorite trip was when I took my son when he was 4. I took everything at his pace. Just realize that if you pace it at their pace, naps, the pool etc everyone will have a much more enjoyable vacation. Also go in September right at the start when most kids are in school and their are fewer people, will also make for a great time and will allow you to experience even more magic.

We have a 4 year old son. Should we go to Disney with him, or is he too young?

So what do you think? Did we convince you?? Hope you have a great time if you decide to go..... Just remember to make dining reservations very early (up to 180 days before) and come back to us if you need help selecting some places your family may enjoy eating in! And be sure to visit the Animal Kindgom with a 4 year old boy!! Good luck!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: But of course you should go!! Our little princesses have been going since infancy!!! They are not afraid of anything at WDW, and they know their way around the parks. They are never too young to start!!!

My 1st son started going to WDW at 2 1/2. My other son started at 9 months, and has been once a year since. My DS's now 4 & 8 can't wait for our next trip! :)
