Should we go Dec 22 or Dec 25?

Yes, I KNOW it will be horrible both days! But we just happen to get free tickets today that must be used by Dec 31. We have to pick a day for the tickets.
I thought Monday might be slightly less crazed since some have not started their vacation yet?
But maybe Christmas Day isn't horrid with people celebrating the day at home?
Which day gets your vote?

Thanks!

I've been to Disneyland more times than I can count, and on some big days, too. While I haven't been to the park on NYE or July 4, I have been there on Christmas Day. It's CRAZY BUSY. You would be much better-off going on Monday, IMO.

Agree with the above poster, go for the 22nd. DL is CRAZY busy on the 25th with people who thought everyone else would be staying at home! Get there early, have a game plan, and be prepared to stay positive and to focus on the magic!

I think that the 22nd should be better in terms of crowds. I mean, since you have free tickets anyway, it does not matter whether you "get your money's worth", but you can never go wrong with less crowds! ;) It will still be crowded, but not as packed as Christmas day! Lots of families go to disneyland instead of opening presents at home. But be prepared... Arrive 60 minutes before opening, RUN to your first ride (as fast as the CMs will let you), use FPs and single rider all day long, and HAVE FUN!

22nd because kids may be out of school but most adults still have to work as compared to Christmas Day which practically everyone has off.

Now that everyone told everyone else the 22nd won't be busy, it will be! Now the 25th will be empty.

Seriously though, either day will be close the same packed level

:goodvibes We are heading over on 12/25. Our game plan is to soak up the Christmas atmosphere, possible do some rides, and not plan anything outside of our Christmas Dinner ressies at Storytellers. No plans, means no disappointment! We figure we will just go with the flow and enjoy everything. :thumbsup2

That's the way to do it! We do the big holidays at DLR that way. One really fun thing is to look for ways to make magic for other people when the parks are so crazy busy. The smiles you'll give and get will be the best gifts!

If you're at all interested in the Frozen stuff at DCA there are rumors that the Frozen sing along and Olaf's Snow Fest won't be open until at least Dec 23.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are going Monday! Very excited! I downloaded a wait time app and picking just a few must do rides, the rest will just be chance. My youngest 2 kids have no idea, they will be shocked! :yay:
