Should we get park hoppers?

When I took my 4 kids to Disney 2yrs ago we got the hopper pass. It was worth it. We did one park in the morning, went back to resort in the afternoon and went back to another park at night to see fireworks. Especially if you get the dining plan you don't have to worry about being at the same park where your reservation is. I hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone for the replies...now I am beginning to see why everyone likes this board so much. :thumbsup2

I think we will skip them for now and add them on later at the time of the trip should we feel the need. I am thinking we won't use them as much just b/c we'll be traveling with 4 small kids and it would take a lot of effort to go to a different park.

We're planning to stay at the Poly so we'll probably spend most time in MK with the kids.

Thanks again!:)

You got the right idea. Budget for it, but wait and upgrade to the hopper if you feel the need to do so during your trip.

When we went in March, I definitely knew that we would hop due to the fact of it being both my DH and youngest kids 1st trip to WDW.
We love the freedom it allows to come and go and do spur of the moment things.
We seemed to hit one park in the morning until 1-2pm then went to another for the late afternoon/evening. We would then hit that evening park again the next morning and do the things that we missed the night before.
If you are planning on returning to your room for an afternoon nap/break, it doesn't take any more effort to go to another park as it does to return to the same park.

Wow, you guys have given me a lot to think about. Thanks!

Last time we went we didn't stay on sight and we just stayed at one park all day, though our kids were a bit worn out by the end of the day. They were 4 and 2 then.

Fast forward 3 years...now we will have 2 more kids. I think we missed the point last time of getting to the parks early and taking a break. (We would get there about 10am or so and then trudge through the parks all day). So this time I am planning on having everyone there super early...taking a break back to the hotel for lunch/swim...then going back out.

So there are definitely pros and cons to hopping.

Thanks again for all the responses!
