Should we do Keys to the Kingdom?

I was thinking about booking the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK for our girls only trip in November. Has anyone actually done it? Is it worth the money? We're doing a 5 day pass so I know we can easily give up a morning.

My DW and I will be doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour in October. We haven't been on it before but friends of ours have and they couldn't recommend it more highly. :thumbsup2
You may also find some reviews for the tour online, but be warned that whilst they may give you an idea of what is covered, they may also spoil some of the surprises. :yay:

We did the KTTK tour in March with our DD's, 16 & 18. We all enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone who has been to WDW before. It's a long tour but it doesn't feel long, hope that makes sense.

I did KTTK tour two weeks ago and had a great time! It's considered a long tour, however, it was very good! Learned alot about MK and Walt Disney and his family...fun to see the utilidors (DD works for Disney, and uses the utilidors all the time, so it was fun to see it...although the area they take you to in the utilidors is just the beginning of it...it was still amazing!) I also had never gone to Columbia Harbour House for a meal, and was very happy with the food, and will definitely go there again to eat! Our guide was great! I would definitely recommend the tour!

We have done it and enjoyed it - but I think I would need to know the ages of your girls and their interests before I could best answer your question, but here is what I thought of the tour:

You already seem to know that the tour price does not include park admission. I felt it was worth the $ because I loved the behind the scenes portion of the tour, when they take you under the park into the utilidors and you get a glimpse of how and why WDW operates so efficiently. You also learn a lot of interesting facts along the way... that is if you are not a true Disney Buff and know most of them already.

But be forewarned, you spend a good deal of time - probably 1 1/2 - 2 hours waiting in line and riding several MK attractions with your guide. This part I found a bit disappointing - I've done Pirates a hundred times, I didn't feel the need to have to pay extra $, and waste precious vacation time doing it with a bunch of strangers. But all in all it was enjoyable and I would recommend booking it.

Rae was our wonderful tour guide when we did KTTK. While we knew much of the trivia, we very much enjoyed the behind the scenes area, especially the parade staging. The two rides we did were PoC and HM.
