should we do a thread on what fp line waits actually are?

Hi all.
I was wondering whether the fp+ people had actually timed how long the fp line is now with the whole fp+ thing
And i thought that a good idea would be to do a thread where you could say how long the stand by line is,what the Fp line looked like and how long it actually took to get through the line? Maybe adding in what time of day too....

This could give an idea if fp+ really has made the fp line longer or if it just looks it due to scanning etc?
I'd like to know if a pattern appears for certain times,
What do you guys think?

I will be there next week so I will definately let you know how the times are for FP+ and standby lines that we actually experience.Just remember it is a Holiday week so it isn't going to be the norm cause of the crowd levels

Ha yes I realise that,but since the parks seem to be busier then the norm on slower times I think it will still be great to get an idea....

I've seen so many threads on how people are scared that due to fp+ the fp lines are way longer then they used to be,that maybe this could shed some light if we get enough people to report

Could be interesting to see the times in the different times of the year. We went in February and we didn't have long lines at all with FP+. Our longest wait was for a princess actually and it was around 10 minutes. The rest of them, we really didn't have any more than a 5 minute wait.

We were there a couple of weeks ago, crazy-spring-break crowds! I didn't time individual rides, but we never waited more than 5-10 minutes with FP. I thought the FP lines were shorter than I'd seen them before with FP-. Soarin and RnRC were literally walk-on, there was no wait other than just waiting for the next "show" to start.

A few if the FP lines looked long, especially at AK, but it was really only 4-5 minutes to get to the scan, then no wait, other than the walk to the loading area, after that.

ETA- the FP kiosk lines were insane! I was really glad we didn't have to use them. There would usually be around 50 people in line, and only a couple of CMs with iPads at the front. Hopefully letting everyone prebook will help out with that.

This is why I wanted to start this,many have said the fp lines are crazy!! But I do wonder if the lines are as long as they look.
So I'm hoping people will start posting their waits.

We were there March 15-22, we were in the parks all but one day, and had FP+ for everyday we were there. The longest FP+ line we stood in was, Thunder Mountain at maybe 7 minutes. It seems once you get past the first scanner, it moves pretty fast.

100% of wdw guests have only been able to prebook fp+ for about 2 weeks. Even what someone experienced 2-3 weeks ago is likely to be different than what someone experiences now, much less a few months from now.

We've been at the various parks all this week and have to say, especially with 4 kids, that the FP lines were awesome and have almost all been pretty much walk-ons. Certainly nothing more than a few minutes once we hit the front of the ride. No lines at the first scan either and no noticeable lines at the FP kiosks. The one exception would be BTMR which I think suffers a bit because the FP line has to feed into the standby line a lot sooner than it does on most of the other rides due to the layout of the BTMR queue.

This is also a week where expected 5 crowd days were 7 to 8 crowd days mostly because a lot of people must have skipped the parks on Tuesday because of the rain and then everyone went Wednesday and Thursday to MK. We loved the rain. Best way to make a 5 crowd day a 3.

We were also very strategic about standby lines. With the 4 kids, any long line can turn into a nightmare so 20 minutes was our max and we found those listed times usually were really only 10 minutes. I also paid attention to how a lot of lines were being distributed and at least for the 2nd tier rides, standby moved rather quickly and you could see the CMs being aware of making sure standby didn't stand still for more than a couple minutes at a time.

Fantastic this is exactly what I wanted to see,
I think a thread like this could help the people that are terrified of Fp+!!

We were at WDW for just one day, four days after offsite started prebooking, during the first week in April, MK a recommended park, I'd guess a 6/7 crowd.

Splash -- When DH used his FP+ and I later used rider switch, both during peak afternoon hours on a hot day, we had one family scanning ahead of us and then basically walked right through the queue onto the ride.

Peter Pan -- At the afternoon peak, there was a small line to scan our bands at each checkpoint and some minor confusion among guests. But it only took about five minutes before we were on the ride.

Jungle Cruise -- Walked right on. Long standby line.

Haunted Mansion (the kids and I) -- Small line to scan bands and the usual delays inherent in the queue and loading process, but as much of a walk-on as HM can be.

Standby lines for second-tier rides: My kids are obsessed with HM, so we wanted a second ride. Posted standby was 30-45 minutes during the afternoon and around 25 minutes during the evening, but we caught a break around 6 p.m. and saw the posted wait time was 15 minutes, which turned out to be very accurate. Pirates was 35-45 minutes in the afternoon. We rode at 35 minutes posted, but actually waited 30 minutes. Didn't notice empty boats or other problems, but the waits were 5-10 minutes longer than we have experienced in similar crowds. Everything else we rode during rope drop or in the evening as people lined up for the electric parade. We really missed legacy FP from 6-8 p.m. when we wanted to use FP for a second ride on a couple favorites but had no more FP.

Ride breakdowns: The only ride that we experienced being down that day was Under the Sea. CM said hopefully it would open later that day. We came back less than a half hour later and walked right on.
