Should We Bring A Stroller??

We will be on our first Disney cruise this Sept for the 4 night Wonder. Is it worth brining a stroller with us for our 1 ½ yr old for the time on the ship and at the ports or will we find it easy to track one down to use at the various stops and on the ship. We also have the Freeport stop now. Is there a rental fee charged anywhere to use a stroller?

One of those small umbrella type strollers would be a good idea. I saw many parents using them and they are easy to fold up for stoage. I also saw several parents with the BIG strollers, they seemed pretty cumbersome in the narrow hallways, and smallish elevators. Also, one was "parked" in the hall near our room on our last cruise. It was out of the way, but I couldn't help thinking that some kids might take it for a joy ride!

Yes, I would definitely recommend taking a stroller. You will need it to walk through the ship and when you get off at port. It will prevent you from carrying your child so much and make it easier for both of you.

I just got off a 4-day Wonder cruise. I don't remember seeing anything in the way of stroller rentals, either onboard or in port. But, not having kids, I didn't go out of my way to look for such a service, but I would have noticed a large number of similar strollers around. I agree with the above posters, get an umbrella stroller. There are way to many narrow areas onboard ship for anything bigger.

I was on the Wonder last December - and they had complimentary strollers - first come - first serve. We got one and kept it for the entire trip in our room. We used it when relaxing on the deck with our little one and we were allowed to take it off the ship when we got to the ports. It was great.

I would recommend bringing an umbrella stroller. You will also need it for the airport. THey have complimentary jogger type strollers on the ship. I would also get one of these. They work great on the beach, think of it as an SUV for the sand! The umbrella stroller is great to use if your little one happens to get tired at dinner and wants to rest. The ships stroller are too big to bring in the dining rooms.

I just returned from the 5/4 7 day Magic cruise. I have a 14 month old and I would have been lost without my stroller. My son napped in the stroller during the day (out on deck near pool) and also he would sleep in it at dinner time and at night while we participated in other activities with our 7 yr. old daughter. The umbrella strollers are convenient because of size but remember they do not recline. I purchased an Evenflo featherlite. It was extremely lightweight, folded with one hand and folded very flat. This was a lifesaver. If they are going to nap in the stroller it really needs the recline options. Just something to think about!!

We did exactly the same thing as Janine. Our stroller was a Graco deluxe light rider stroller. It fit nicely in the closet when not in use. We would have been lost without it. Our son was 14 mo old at the time and our daughter was 6.
