Should we bring a baby carrier?

When you say "carrier" you do mean like a sling/Bjorn/Ergo right NOT an infant seat carrier...

My DD was 7 months and 22 lbs her 1st trip. I don't remember any problems waiting in lines and she did ride every ride that her 3 yr. old sister rode. We used the stroller though between every ride.

Yes, I was wondering about slings/ergo, etc. I'm sure we'll be getting some kind of carrier for the trip, just in case. It's nice to know that my DD will be able to go on most rides that her brother goes on

LOVE LOVE my Hip Hammock! And lol, my 15 mo. old is 22 lbs! Last summer she was 9 months and she was good in the stroller most of the time but I also brought my front carrier (I just have the front to back snuggli) and it worked out great for rides and lines.

I like my front/back snuggli and hip hammock equally, depending on her mood and such.

I have tried all sorts of slings and the carriers you can tie all different ways and I still like my hip hammock and front to back snuggli much better.

Yes, bring a carrier! I would bring an ergo or beco. An older baby is usually happier on your back where they can see really well. The carriers that allow facing out have the baby dangling from the crotch which 1) usually is not comfy for you and 2) is not good for the baby (and I can't imagine it's comfortable).

Oh yes! DD is 16 now, and we're making our first trek back to Disneyland since she was 2. I carried her around in something like this on that trip:



I loved my Kelty carrier because the back had support like a hiking backpack. She rode in it till she was almost 4.

I second (or third or fourth) the ergo. I adore mine. They can not sit front facing on your front but they do sit front ways on your back. This is the easiest most comfortable baby backpack I've ever tried. I've even carried my 4 yr. old in it when he's had a breakdown hiking. But mostly I use it for my 2 yr. old and she loves it!
