hi everyone
Myself ,husband and the 2 kids 4,3 years, will be in Dlp on the last Saturday in March, and would like to have a nice family meal while in the park . Could anyone recommend a nice restaurant/cafe for an afternoon meal . Looking for a place were the kids can have their burgers and fries, and a little bit more special for us, steak, bottle wine type meal. Also would you recommend booking a restaurant, and at what time, as we would not want to miss any parades .
Thanks linnielass

I don't think I've said Hello to you linnielass :) Welcome to the DIS :goodvibes

I've just pointed out this page on the DLP Foodguide to someone else! Very helpful, it gives the menus and reviews of all the places to eat.

I would suggest either the Blue Lagoon because of it's fantastic setting, or Walts, which is right on Main Street, and you can try asking very nicely for a window table when you book :cloud9:

If it's important where and what time you want to eat, then make a booking before you go. The number can be found here in the Useful Info sticky.

So you can work out timings, the parade is at 4pm :)

Both Becky's choices will offer a great atmosphere as well as a nice dining experience.
If you are wanting character interaction as well then Lucky Nugget Saloon with its buffet may be another option :)

:cool1: We are going on Friday to Disneyland Paris and one afternoon we are planning on trying the Plaza Gardens for our tea before the parade. Hopefully we will book into a character tea as I have heard on previous threads that everyone has enjoyed the Plaza Gardens character tea. The Lucky Nugget also interests us so we will be trying there too. We want character interaction with the children.

In Disney Village there are lots of restaurants and we are still undecided were we will eat :confused3

Plaza Gardens, Lucky Nugget, Cafe Mickey are on the list with possibly Annettes, Billy Bobs, Rainforest Cafe or Planet Hollywood. There is too many I shall just have to go back later in the year.

I would suggest Walts or Blue Lagoon.
Do make a reservation for one of these fine restaurants.

I would definitely book in advance, especially for a Saturday.

When you call to book, what info will they need?

Your name, the hotel you are staying at, and the number in your party. Can't remember whether they ask for your home telephone number or not.

Hiya,

I've also booked for a tea(dinner) at Cafe Mickey using a 10p per minute number and dialed the number that I got from another thread and spoke to a Customer Service Advisor who got my name, what time are we planning to dine and how many we are then she just said it is all sorted but I wanna make sure so I asked the lady on the other end if she can give me a confirmation number and she did. Btw, we will be dining there 6th of March at 6:30. Me, Hubby and Arabella so if theres anybody going the same time hope we can meet.

Cheers!

Camille

Hi linnielass :goodvibes
We're there that Saturday too, the park is open until 9.00pm so I'm hoping we can dine at the Blue Lagoon in the evening, but I'm waiting to see if the time of the parade that day is released in the next couple of weeks.
If they are previewing the new parade I don't want to risk missing it.
