Should we avoid MK on MNSSHP days

DH and I (no kids this trip) are not interested in MNSSHP. Our trip is Oct 13-24 and I already have all of our PDRs. I just looked and the Halloween party is Oct 16, which was to be our MK day. Should we avoid the MK that day and change our dinner plans? I know very little about this party or the details. Will the park close early or be extra crowded as opposed to non party days?

The MK closes at 6pm on party nights. The parks will be quieter in the mornings and get busier around 4pm as the partygoers start entering the park. Have fun!

No, I wouldn't avoid MK on party days. I think it will be fine.

I wouldn't avoid it in your case. I know a lot of people stay away from MK on those days because they are coming to the party at night. We go to MNSSHP so we hang at the resort during the day. That way we don't overdo it. I have read a lot of others do that as well.

We went to MK on our party day last year and it was great. At 6 they will give you a wristband and usher you over to Tommorowland.

I agree with everyone else. Since the party is a separate ticket event people would have to use a day on their regular park pass to get in prior to 4 PM. We have hopper passes so it wouldn't cost us an extra day, but we are planning to go to AK that morning. We'll go back to the resort for a rest, get DS's costume, then head over to MK around 4:30. UG says the crowds are only a "4" that day so I imagine you will have a very pleasant time! Just be prepared to be finished by 6 PM.

We plan on doing the whole day at MK. We will be doing the KTTKT that morning of the party and then the party that night with a break between the tour and 4 pm

Since the park closes at 6 PM on party nights, you won't be able to see the evening parade or Wishes. As long as you have parkhopper tickets, you can come back another night to do those things. If you don't have parkhoppers, I would suggest you change to a non-party night if you want to enjoy the evening events.

Thank you so much for these replies. Without the DIS knowledge, DH and I would certainly have gone to another park. We do have park hoppers so it looks like we can just keep our itinerary.
