Seems like forever since we took our last trip! I am trying to plan my DD graduation trip during the end of May or 1st of June. She wanted to do the cruise and WDW like we did with her sister but DH has no interest in the ports of call on the west coast. :( We usually stay 10-14 days but I have some concerns about whether to avoid Memorial Day weekend. Does anyone have any comments regarding their experience at this time of year?

Also, since our last trip we have a new grandson.

He will be a year old on June 1st and I would love for him to celebrate his birthday at WDW!

Personally I would avoid Memorial Day. We went one year at that time and I swore I would never do it again. We always wait till the full week following memorial Day to go on our trip even though the kids are out of school before Memorial Day.

I thought that the crowds were terrible the whole week. Many people do it because they get 5 days and only costs them 4 days vacation at work.

Just my $.02 worth. :D

First time message on the board!!!

Just FYI - there's a big pediatric dental convention at Disney World over Memorial Day weekend. With the location being Disney, you can guarantee if you can go, you will go.

I'm sure there are conventions and gatherings all the time at the parks, so this one may not make that much of a dent. That plus being the holiday - it should make for good size crowds.
