Should Spaceship Earth stay or go?

I was reading the "What rides make you want to fall asleep" thread, and it occured to me that Spaceship Earth was almost always mentioned. Do you think that Spaceship Earth should stay what it is, or that it should be turned into a coaster, similar to Space mountain, but a bit faster.

I think both. Keep it Space Ship Earth but make it a coaster. So like same concept but a coaster?? Ya lol

NO WAY! leave spaceship earth the way it is i LOVE it.. alotta people are bored with it or whatever but i think its great and educational and there are better things out there than roller coasters.. lol sorry i heard about them speculating turning it into a rollercoaster and i freaked out bc i think its a disney world classic. but hey thats just me.

I think it should stay what it is because in epcot there are many things that littler kids can do besides spaceship earth I have always found it fasanating. The one thing I like best about it is, it is air-conditioned and it is a slow ride so on hot days it is a nice way to cool down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i remember that in my WDW trivia book one of the questions was what is the most popular ride at WDW... spaceship earth was the answer and it said it probably one of the most popular rides in the world!!! though i might be wrong because i haven't read it in a while will go check it... (just need to remember where i put it though...)

I've never been on it. I've passed by it but never been on it. I've also heard people saying that it is boring. Who knows?

its classic, it shouldnt leave. everythings being "changed" but i think its one thing that doesnt need to be. i think that whomever was in charge of the animatronic people wouldnt be very happy if they were taken out just to be replaced by yards of steel track. theres so much detail and pure, moving art in there it should be considered illegal to take it down.

besides...us spaceship earth nerds would end up doing something drastic, like hand cuffing ourselves to the control booth or something. i dont think disney would like that very much >>.

NOOOO!!! It definently needs to stay itself. I mean, I love coasters as much as the next gal, but SSE is, like DolfieDreams said, such a beautiful, artful ride! I love it....it's a wonderful way to relax during a hot, busy day, and just soak in the little magical nuances that are Disney.

The only thing that's I would EVER change is to update the technology a bit in the "now" section, so it seems a little more realistic. That's it.

it's one of the most relaxing expiriences everrrr!!
the slow movement of the train, the sweet mellow sounds of jeremy irons!

sure, it may put you to sleep--but i mean COME ON! you can't get much more relaxing than that.

i seriously love spaceship earth it's on of my favorite rides in disney! i love the thrill rides but don't take away my mellow rides!!
