Should roll out the driveway in 10 days

Sorry about the itchy post. Just glad it was not at Disney. Okay it would have been much worse if we had slept in those beds.

I hope you see that I found you and you are in the regular TR Boards. I was in GA & FL last week and I was afraid of bed bugs but didn!t see any thank goodness. It really isn't the fault of hotels, it is from people traveling place to place.

Hope the rest of yor vacation is Magical.

We arrived at Animal Kingdom with the kids as little statues while we checked in and after they learned we are staying they are grinning ear to ear.

Mickey had left us a gift of a fruit basket in each of the 2 villas.Kids loved their Mickey fruit.

Looking around the villas they are amazing! CMs helped us bring everything up.Very helpful and friendly.

We took a tour of the resort before fixing dinner.

We met the nurse from the nursing service, she is wonderful. She and an aide will be helping us while here.

My damaged transfer board will be replaced in the morning so I will spend one last night sleeping in my chair.

We talk with the relatives back home about remembering BIL.

I am in love with the kitchen here.

OhMari, I know bed bugs are just hitch-hikers and any place can get them care of a carrier. My issue was with the addatude of the night manager and his outright denial of what I saw.

I make a habit of looking because they are not fun pets and are hard to get rid of.

wow, what an awesome family you are. I'm along for the ride...

First day in the parks!

Animal Kingdom! Spent more time watching animals and enjoyed the shows.Had a blast! ASD Foster son met another ASD young male around his age to hang out with, they both love Legos and enjoyed making Lego animals while looking at the tree carvings.

We did a slow tour and did not finish our tour before time to go back to villa for lunch and nap for the little ones.DH takes the older ones back to Animal kingdom. Before heading back DH helps me by getting the turkey in the oven. While the little ones sleep I work on the sides and dessert. My boss comes over and we visit while working in the kitchen.

My transfer board arrived very early in the morning.

Boss, RN,and aide join us for dinner.

We enjoy talking about everything the kids saw during the day.

Again we talk with family back home to make sure everyone is okay.

Day 2 in parks!

Magic kingdom day!

Shows are great but youngest was hunting for Mickey! She would not go near him at first she just smiled and giggled watching from a distance.

As soon as she decided she wanted to go close, she made a bee line for him.

Poor Mickey, she just would not let go of his pants. She clung to his leg while telling him "You can come home with us, you can be a Foster Mouse or get Adopted like me".Out of the mouth of our tiny toddler.

Our 5 yr old DD told 5 yr old DS as she woke him during the parade "Wake-up the Disney dream is better than sleep dreams".

The twins saw their Favs Finn and Repunzel.

We went back to the villa for lunch and older ones went with DH back to MK while I stayed with the little ones for naptime.

I love these ... it's little things the kids say like this that make all the craziness so worth it, don't they? :goodvibes

So glad you guys have settled in and are having fun!!!

Epcot day 3

Great time, spent most of the time just enjoy the countries.Kids enjoyed talking with CMs.They brought their translators with to help.

We stopped for lefsa, yum. Hard to find in AZ, and I do not make it at home but a couple times a year.Just wish I had thought to bring lingonberry jam with me.

We had a short day, Foster son was having people issues and DH needed to rest.If my skin had not had its limits of just how much sun it can handle I would have just let DH take the little ones and Foster son and I would have pressed on with the older ones. Nope did not work that way. Sun and I just are not good enough friends for that.Even with SPF 100 still have to do skin watch.

So I told the kids we could come back after dark.

Since we have hoppers we went to MK to watch fireworks and see things lit-up at night.

Got the call from insurance company that it will take longer than planned to fix our RV, so they will extend our rental time they cover. We meet with them on Monday and move over to rental home.

Thank you all for the well wishes and following us.:goodvibes

As we were leaving the park, little guy walking near us looked at my kids power chairs and said "Grandma, you said kids are not allowed to rent those" Grandma was stuck for words when 5 yr old DS said "our chairs are not rented, Santa gave me mine, so I would not have to push with my hands". Then he asked the kid if he wanted ride the buggy board on the back.

Once out of the park we let the kid ride the buggy board.Turned out Grandma was parked close to us and her scooter was an outside rental.

 that is WONDERFUL about what your DS said and did. awesome!

:cloud9:

Awwww. I love your baby!!!

I hope you can scan some pictures and update your posts! I already feel like I'm there with you, but would love to SEE more!!!

Have a great rest of your trip!

Just read this entire thread. Your entire family is inspirational! Even if you had not told the background information that built your family, it is obvious from the words and actions of your small children that you and DH are phenomenal parents! Thank you for sharing your story.

We are taking a day off from the parks today.
Kids are doing arts and crafts. The are decorating T-shirts for everyone coming in tomarrow.

With family coming in, we are taking our day out of the sun today instead of tomarrow.

I have the sewing machine and the YuDo with since we wanted them with for fun in the RV.We duct taped shower curtains down around everything here so the kids can not get paints anywhere.

Thank you guys for the complaments, all of you are just so nice.

If there was not a no rider rule in the parks we would have allowed DS to give the little guy a ride on his buggy board in the park.We realize Disney has to think about safety with just how packed it can get in the parks.

Okay we are going to skip the parks one more day.

Got the call from my Older Brother that our Grand Aunts(104 and 105 yrs old) are flying down to visit us.They were staying with my Uncle but he upset them.

Will pick them up at the airport in a few hours.

Rest of the family will arrive in the afternoon and evening.

wow, this sounds like it is turning into a Grand Gathering! :cheer2:

Sorry to hear about the uncle upsetting them, but still, I can't think of anything better than more family at Disney.

Yep, we are getting all but one of the folks we had wanted in the first place and we will honor him with doing his favorite Disney things.

The kids like my Grand Aunts. So head count will go up as the day goes on.

DH, me, 10 kids(some are above that Disney age line), my cousins ex,Mom,MIL,2 Grand Aunts, 2 Brothers,2 SILs and one Service Dog.The 3 cats are staying with my Boss.Boss her DH and DN visit. 1 RN and 1 aide.

Okay, got the Grand Aunts settled in their room. Then went to sign the paperwork on the rental home. The insurance prepaid it. We got the shock:scared1:They paid for a 3 month rental! Went and did the walk through the place is huge.Over twice the size of ours at home.
Totally accessable rooms! More than half of the kitchen is designed for chairs, some stations are set up for able-bodied but they are just a double of one that is wheelchair friendly. So we can have an abled-bodied friend in the kitchen without loaning them a chair.

The front yard has great landscaping and the back yard has a wheelchair friendly swingset and playhouse. The veggie garden is empty but since we have the place for 90 days we will plant it.

I can work from here and DH will have to take time off.His boss okayed leave without risk to his job.

WOW!!! That sounds fantastic!!!! It's nice to hear when insurance does GOOD stuff ... since we all know that ISN'T always the case!!!
