Should rent a car?

We can't decide if we should rent a car for 5 days to get back and forth to airport and to get to groceries etc. The cost of renting the town car to get back and forth seems to be almost as much as renting the car. And if we rent we have the convenience of having a car in case we need it...why is it better to just take the town car service?

I would definately rent a car -- it's convenient and even if you end up not using it much, you'll still be saving $.

I love renting a car at WDW. It gives you so much freedom to move about as you wish, rather than waiting in long, hot lines for crowded busses.

Trust me, once you rent a car at WDW, you will never want to not rent a car at WDW again!

We are considering the same thing. Our concern is having to drive ourselves around: From airport to WDW Resort, then to Port Canaveral, and then back to airport. Will we have any problems getting ourselves to our destinations? As a WDW Resort guest, do we get free parking at the parks? And, is it easier to park at the parks or take the busses (from POFQ). I just don't want my husband getting frustrated on our vacation because he doesn't know his way around. Please help you experts out there...

WDW guests get free parking at the parks. If you don't know your way around and are uncomfortable, I would take the bus to the parks to get familiar.

I always rent a car, it's much easier than sitting on hot crowded busses. The only place we sometimes take the bus to is MK. We like having the car to go offsite for groceries, outlet shopping, restaurants.
