Should I worry about this?

I got up at 4:30am last Thursday to make my ADRs and got everything I wanted except for Ohana on the first night. After I was finished, I had trouble viewing a couple of them online, so I called Disney Dining to verify that they were there. Fortunately, they were, and after viewing the email confirmations more closely (once I was more fully awake), I realized that my problem was that I had mis-typed my DH's cell phone number when it asked for a number we could be contacted at while we're in WDW.

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining because I thought I would call and get the cell phone number corrected on the ressies, but the CM I spoke with told me that they don't do that, and as long as I had the confirmation numbers, I would be fine. She did ask me what the correct number would be, and I gave it to her, but I think she may have put that number on our DVC hotel reservation, because the same incorrect number is still on the dining reservations.

Should I call back and try and change the number on the dining ressies or just leave it alone? My fear is that if there is a problem with one of the restaurants while we are down there, and they try and contact us, they won't have the correct contact information. The odds of that happening are probably very small, but ever since the day we went to the place where my sister was supposed to have her wedding reception and they were closed due to a water main break, I'm a little more prone to worry about things like that.

I would just leave it alone. As long as you have the confirmation number you should be fine.

Our 90 day was before the online system so I called Disney Dining and make a few using my home phone number. Then I booked more using the online system and put my cell - because that is the phone number that I will be using when I'm there.

I had to call dining back about something else and found that the ones using my home phone were in one area (attached to our package) and the ones online were separate. The CM told me not to worry about it and she checked that they were all there.

I would leave well enough alone. Don't drive yourself nuts. You have the conformation numbers .:thumbsup2 they r gold.:thumbsup2

OK then, I'm sure I'll be fine. It was a really odd call though -- she insisted that since I had made the ADR's online, she couldn't edit them at all but I could and I kept trying to tell her that I couldn't edit them. She was the least friendliest CM I've ever spoken with too -- most of the ones I've had conversations with were really friendly and upbeat, but this woman could have made Debbie Downer sound happy!

I did the same thing. When I entered the contact phone # I entered our area code then the the first 3 digits of my work number and the final 4 were the cell phone #. :rotfl:

I spoke with a CM about changing the phone #, but it sounded like they might have to cancel the original reservation and then make a new one. I decided it wasn't worth the effort. I did make sure I noted all the confirmation # and the phone # associated with them.

You know when I don't feel confortable with a CM I say sorry I got to go I will call back. I can't deal with the ones that don't give you that Disney feeling. :rotfl2:

I would believe what the CM told you.

Originally for our trip, we were staying offsite, but then we decided to stay onsite. When I tried to call to link our resort confirmation # to the ADRs I had made prior to making a resort reservation, the CM told me she couldn't do that and I'd have to cancel and rebook. :confused3 Why would anyone want to do that, just to have the resort reservation be linked to the ADR? It wasn't that necessary for me to have a printout of our ADRs.

I tried calling back, and a different CM told me the same thing, so I don't think it was just one clueless CM. I suppose it could be two clueless CMs, but I didn't really care.

I'm sort of surprised that Disney has such issues with its computer systems. I know they are a big business, but to me, that is all the more reason why they shouldn't have such issues with computers being down, people getting empty confirmation emails, etc.

I just remembered.

My CM tried to change the cell phone number provided on some of the ADR's to my home phone and she couldn't do it either.

That's when she told me not to worry, as they were in my name and I had the confirmation numbers.
