Should I worry--180 +10 same day as free dining release

So I've been eagerly awaiting Monday as it will finally be the day we can make dining reservations for our October trip. I just read that it's likely they will release the free dining offer Monday (although not for the dates of our trip)! Now I'm panicked the website will crash with everyone trying to book free dining. Any advise? If the website crashes do you think the app will still work and I could do dining for most of the reservations through the app??

Maybe. I tried to make my ADRs on Friday with the website and got nothing but errors. I picked up my ipad and easily made all of them via the app. So it's possible you could do it through the app. It was actually quicker with the app. Of course having your cc on your account already made it easy, just in case you haven't done that yet.

The website is enough of a disaster without the added strain of thousands of people on it at once attempting to book free dining....if it happens.

I expect utter chaos.

I hate it for you, as it appears you're going to Disney regardless of any promotion...unlike many of those who will have a part in (probably) crashing the system. The only bright side is that if it's crashed for you, it's crashed for everyone else attempting dining reservations, as well.

While the pp's response of 6 est is "technically" correct, keep in mind that we are currently on dst, in which case you can call at 7am eastern time tomorrow morning. If you start calling at 6 edt, you'll be very frustrated for an hour.

True, you cannot call until 7am EST, but online reservations open at 6am EST.

I would be on the site, 5 minutes before 6am EST. When the clock turns, refresh and start making your ADR's. I have always had success online and only had to call once or twice. I have always gotten everything I wanted, with the exception of BOG on opening day, but did manage to get an ADR about a month later.

That is so encouraging! We have a similar problem. We arrive on Tuesday, October 25th...so 3 days after those who are making ADR's for that week and arrive on Saturday. May I ask what ADR's you were able to get? Did you get anything for Be Our Guest?

Yes we got Be our guest for lunch 10/27 there were lots of available times. Didn't check for dinner. Got dinner that night for CRT.

Only thing I did not see available that surprised me was no Liberty tree for dinner. Booked it for lunch instead. Also I wanted dinner at crystal palace for 10/23 but the latest time available was 4:45. Took that and hope to find a later time as we get closer.

Oh - I hadn't thought of that. We're arriving Sun of that week, and yes lots of people will be arriving Sat so booked today for our week. Hmmmm... just what I need - something else to make me nervous about our ADRs! Well, we only need 3 and my Mom & I are both going to go on at 6am (well 5am our time) and hope for the best!
