going 8/9 with DD15 for 10 days, first time onsite at POR. I think I screwed up our planning. I did 10 days of morning Fps. We are so used to trips where you get there at rope drop and go, go, go. Now we plan to go back to the room for a nap or to swim. So I don't know whether to plan a day to sleep in or to leave it alone and build in the daily break. We might take one day off to sleep and lounge by the pool, then maybe do a park at night. As long as we take one day "off", does it sound ok to leave the Fps in the am for the other days? Most of them don't start til 10 anyway so we don't have to do RD.

also, DD wants to do parks most days except one day off, we have Quest and mini golf tix and she'd rather keep doing parks.

I would say that if you know your plans are different than what you have booked, change them. If the change in plans is a "maybe", then keep them as they are until you know you will be doing something different and book new ones then. I k now that means you may not get a few you want, but how can you change them when you don't even know what your doing? We do RD a couple times, but otherwise try not to do too much planning. We booked out FP at the 60 day window and have changed them several times already as plans evolve. I'm sure I'll be rebooking the day before as things change while we are here too.:scratching If you know where you will be and what you want to see, then rebook. If not, keep what you have and change as things change.

Have a great trip.

We were at WDW from June 28-July 8 and I can tell you the FP+ was most valuable for us either in early afternoon before our break or in the evening when we went to another park. We did rope drop most days and then used FP later with a few exceptions. Because we were there during a crowded time, there were few 4th and 5th FP+ opportunities for us. The ones we could get in the MK, for example, we didn't really need one for. We did use some at DHS for Fantasmic that we made about 10 minutes before it was time to go in and didn't have to wait in the crazy line.
