Should I take these fares or wait?

My family of 3 is flying from NYC to Orlando mid Dec. We will have luggage as we are staying in the US for 5 weeks (from Australia). I can get flights (one stopover) on AA for $82 pp plus tax and luggage from JFK but with taxis, luggage etc this is likely to get to around $140 pp? (my guesstimate)

Should I take it or wait around for Jet Blue to release its fares? benefit is they fly from LGA (which I believe is closer to Manhattan) plus don't charge for luggage (we will have one each) and it will be a direct flight.

Alternatively I can get Delta direct from LGA for $117 plus luggage.

What would you do?

From somebody DownEast, I will reply to somebody DownUnder.

If you will be staying in Manhattan, I would prefer the LGA option. The Delta price I find attractive but you would have a baggage fee. Have you considered, if available downunder, getting the gold Delta american express card.
This is a no fee for the first year and it waives the baggage fee subject to some restrictions, visit Delta website for application and restrictions.

Have a great trip.:cool1:

Unfortunately we can't get credit overseas - wish I could - my mortgage is at 7.2% and I believe they are much cheaper in the US! I'm happy to pay the Delta price even with the luggage loading if it is a good deal - just don't know the 'going prices' of airfares in the US, only here in Australia. Managed to get most of our flights on FF which has me flyiing AA in the US. I can get FF flights to Orlando but would rather fly direct - plus to be honest it probably isn't worth using points for fares around $100.
