Should I take my DD's Blankie with us?

Honestly, if we got to the point of meltdown, then we would leave the park.

We wouldn't last an hour in the park under that mindset! :rotfl: Even my DH can't go an hour in DL without needing a "happy meal." Gotta love my spirited boys!! :goodvibes And they're so lucky to have a level-headed wife/mama! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't risk it...

I was one of those kids who had a blanket. Imagine if it were to be lost somehow?

If you bring it, never leave it in your stroller unattended... obviously a thief wouldn't target the blanket, but it could disappear along with the stroller or even be dropped and lost for good.

I wouldn't risk losing it.

Thanks for all the opinions/advice!

I think the consensus is to bring the blanket, but to keep it in DH's backpack when not in use. That way, it is there if we need it, but not at risk of getting stolen (DH will also have the electronics in his backpack, so the backpack will be on him at all times.)

Thanks again!

It looks like you've made a decision. We did the same thing, only I have DS3 and DS2 that both have blankies... each have two to be exact. They wouldn't make it without our blankies (especially since they nap in the strollers and we don't head back to the hotel). I would definitely recommend keeping it in the bag whenever possible. Don't let her know that you have it until necessary. And maybe make a point to check to make sure you have it every so often, (at meals, or after you get off a ride, etc.)

I also like the idea of maybe renting a locker to keep things like that in, just in case your DH doesn't like carrying a big bag, or maybe bringing it, but trying to temporarily have a new "Disney" friend babysit the blankie in the car. (Minnie stays with the blankie, while your DD carries a Mickey or something else cute. You might even be able to make her new Disney friend their own mini - blankie to sew onto their hand or something cute :goodvibes .)

But if she loves her "soft" like mine love their blankies, definitely bring it  or you will feel bad when she needs it.
