Should I take it personally?

When the baby cries as I hit the high notes on O Holy Night? :rotfl2: :lmao:

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Wiat til your child can talk, my DS4 tells me " Mommy can you please stop singing? Your hurting my ears!" :rotfl: Merry Christmas! And don't take it personally, everyone's a critic!

As long as all of the dogs on the street do not start howling, you are okay!

I can barely hit a low note. Heck, I want to cry when I sing!

When hit the high notes,or whenever I play my Irish Tinwhistle, our youngest cat comes up behind me and smacks me on the back of the head. And no, she doesn't always get her claws completely retracted first. OUCH!

Nice to know I'm not the only one. I admit that song stretches the boundaries of my singing range, but I didn't think I was that bad. :rolleyes1 And it's my all-time favorite carol, so when I hear it, I just gotta sing.
I'm blaming his reaction on the fact that to handle the high notes, I gotta sing LOUD. ::yes:: That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Oh, and it wasn't my baby, just a loaner for a couple hours. :lovestruc You gotta love little ones, they aren't afraid to speak their mind (even when they are too little to talk!)

Hey...everyone can sing anything they want...especially in the privacy of their own home. The kids get no say.
Of course, my poor 17 y/o dd has to sing this very carol in about 90 mins. She is majorly stressed about it. It's a tough one to sing...almost as bad as the Star Spangeled Banner!!!

I'm sure she'll do fantastic! Have that video tape running and enjoy your Christmas Eve! :thumbsup2

Fortunately when I used to sing this I could easily hit those high notes. Now I sign it and don't have to worry about hitting any notes.

In honor of this thread being started prior to my arrival at mass tonight, I decided to be very festive and sing my heart out........ well.......who knew stained glass windows were so fragile? I guess my church should have chosen better with the song selection tonight, either that or I probably should have learned my lesson after the fine china fiasco ;)

Cool! I love, love, LOVE watching ASL interpreters doing songs. The fluidity of the movement to the music is just beautiful.

I had to check out this thread to see if the OP got a lecture. It's a new DIS record - an entire thread without anyone "failing to see the humor!"

Talking Hands, I would love to see that.

Dee, OOPS! Did anyone get injured by the flying glass? ;)

Disy, I was a little worried about that, but I guess everyone got that the joke was on me!! And just so noone thinks I'm too cruel, I did stop singing after that one try. (I seriously considered running through it again and taping the baby's reaction, but decided it was too cruel. He was really not feeling it.:lmao: Would have made a great youtube video though.)

Enjoy the rest of your Christmas!!
