Should I take DD before or after her third birthday?

I know Disneyland lets kids under 3 in for free, which means it'd be cheaper to take her before her third birthday. She turns 3 on March 17 and we're going in March, so it'd be equally easy to take her to the parks before or after the birthday.

Are there any benefits to her being 3 in the park? Most rides have height restrictions, not age ones, right? So there's nothing she'd miss out on by being under 3? If not, I'll go for the cheap option and go from March 11-16 or thereabouts.

Thanks!

Go before she's three hands down. She would eat free at the character meals as well as getting in the parks free. It's a great age to take them too :thumbsup2

Definitely agree with previous posters! There is a great savings in taking a child under three, all the way around. And no restrictions based on age. My son and I enjoyed the heck out of the year before he turned 3. :)

Please take her! She may not remember the trip forever, but you will! Their amazement and delight at that age is so worth it! :goodvibes Both of my girls have gone at least once a year with each of their first trip at about 6 months old! Have fun! :goodvibes

We took DD to WDW at 2 yrs 10 months, and it was an absolutely wonderful trip. Everything was real to her and she was absolutely amazed and thrilled. I'll give you another vote for taking her just before she turns 3.
