We are going to WDW Jan 23-25 at BCV then BWV Jan 25-29 celebrating DD's 11th Bday.(I am on the wait list for BCV for the 2nd part of the trip) I have all ADR's booked and a Pirate Cruise from the YC booked all with the thought that we would be in the Epcot resort area. Well DD just asked where we are staying and when I told her, she wasn't too happy and asked why didn't I book her favorite place, AKV. I just thought since it is so far from the parks it would just be more convenient to stay at BCV/BWV. Should I switch and if I want to will there be any rooms this close to the date? How is the bus service from AKV? Will I hate traveling to the parks from there? This trip is really all about her so I am really thinking about switching. Any advice?

I would definitely switch. I LOVE AKV. I own at both BWV and AKV so either is fine with me. But you're already switching resorts and I don't see a lot of difference between BWV and BCV so I'd switch the second half to AKV. Especially since it's your DD's request.

Definitely switch, if there is availability.

You're really not that much closer to the parks at BWV/BCV. Yes, you're close to EPCOT and HS, but you still have to take a bus to the MK or AK. At AKV you're close to the AK and have to take a bus to the others. Since it's a trip for your DD I'd definitely switch.

I'd switch the second half to AKV. It's DD's Bday so she should get her wish. On the other hand, experiencing other resorts is a good experience. She'll love the evening activities at BWV which is an easy walk from BCV.

I think stormalong bay is closed during that time period. That might be a good incentive to move.

I just love all 3 resorts. I'm thinking how can you go wrong!! If she really loves AKV's then switch the 2nd half. The bus service was good for us. We have stayed there numerous times. It was one of our favorite resorts before it was DVC. AKL almost kept me from buying DVC, we loved it so much!
I own at all 3 resorts.:goodvibes

Thanks for the advice everyone!
Unfortunately there was no availability for that week in any view in a 1 bedroom. But, I was able to switch the BCV portion to AKV studio savannah view. So, at least she will get 2 nights there! I kept the BWV for the following week and am on the wait list for a 1 bedroom at BCV. We have stayed at BWV many times and I really wanted to try BCV. Only 2 nights out of the 4 were available. Not sure if I should've just booked them. I don't want to take the chance if the other nights don't go through then I would be switching resorts 3 times! Oh well, hopefully the BCV ressie will come through. You would think with the pool being closed in sections people would be canceling there, guess not!
