Should I schedule a car service to take me to Disney?

I'm coming from Hard Rock Hotel in Universal. I'm not sure what time i'd like to go or be picked up, so I'm a little hesistant. Is there a way to let them know that the day before the trip?

Also, who would you recommend? Can I just get a cab when I leave MK? Are their many waiting?

I'm going to assume the latter. Frankly a car service is going to be more affordable. Cabs charge by the mile/time, and if you get stuck in traffic, it could be a very expensive trip.

I'd book a car service. They are going to want to know in advance you pick up and drop off times. You might be able to change it the day before, but no guarantees.

You can have them drop you off at the Contemporary and walk to the MK form there, and have them wait to pick you back up at the CR afterwards.

If you do decide to use a cab, again, the CR is your best bet. They are generally lined up. If not, the valet can call one for you.
