I'm cross-posting a bit (this is on the relatively quiet transportation board too), but I'd really like to hear if any of you have any ideas on my situation?

Can all of you ease my mind or give me some advice?

Because of some factors I have not bought my air tickets yet. I can now go ahead and book. The problem is, it's so much more expensive than when I first started looking! And the times of the flights are horrible!

The only good fare I've seen is with Transmeridian who I am affraid of after reading threads on them around here.

TMA would save me $150, but I'd have to stay an extra day (I'm really torn up about that! :p ) And they have awesome flight times out and back. As it is now, if I book with the next best price I'b be getting to WDW at around 10pm an leaving the last day at like 7am. That really cuts into touring times.

Should I take the chance with TMA, spend less and have A LOT more time at WDW, or go with the safe route and really miss out on a lot of time? Or should I continue to wait to book and risk spending even more?

PLEASE Help!!

We travelled on TransMeridian out of Syracuse in December, and they were terrific. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Save your money, and travel with TMA!

We just booked our flight for July at $222 a person. It isn't a great price but it was the cheapest I have seen for our dates. Plus, it is a direct flight to Orlando.

You have to do what you are comfortable with. Personaly, if I were in your shoes I would just keep waiting. Unless you are comfortable flying TMA (I know nothing about them, never even heard of them).

Good luck! Hope some good, cheap tickets come your way soon.

I do know that there have been alot of various times with Continental all going for about $236 non-stop from Cleveland to Orlando. I happen to get our tickets when they were $221. I have been checking for our next trip in Oct and the price I stated above is what they have been running.

HTH

Mine have jumped $100 since I started looking to $322 for the flight I want on NWA from Mpls. I kept hearing wait, wait, wait and to be honest for the business trips I have been on that has been the best experience. I just don't know if I should wait any longer or book Midwest at $255 (from LaCrosse). (2nd half of July)

We booked two trip on TMA and were a little leary also.

Hubbie and I just got back from our first trip to Vegas on them, and were VERY pleased. The flight left ten minutes early, the crew was great, the pilots made announcement whenever we flew over something important AND we were served a meal. It doesn't get any better than that!

We are flying them on 3/28 to Disney and couldn't be happier with our decision.

Have fun!

Does TMS go into Orlando International Airport (MCO) or Orlando Sanford Airport (I'm not sure of the code)? Sanford is over 50 miles from Disney, while MCO is only about 15. It can make quite a difference in ground transportation costs.

It only goes to Sanford. And yes transfers are a big difference. Depending on what you want there are as much as 2x more! We'd also have to pay for that extra day. So the savings are being eaten up.

Now DF really wants to drive. At first I thought it would be fun, but I'm having second thoughts.

ARRGGG! I don't know what to do! The good news is that we got the Visa 7 for 4.

Maybe I can get someone to buy us airfare for a wedding present? :p

We used to fly - spent about 225 per ticket and then at least 200 for a rental car - we decided that we could use that 650 for other things and we now drive straight through from PA. My DH and I take turns driving and it isn't bad at all. The savings allows us to stay at a nicer hotel or add a day or 2 to our trip.

It took us about 45 mins to get from Sanford to our hotel (CPGV) in Lake Buena Vista. It was about another 10 mins from the hotel to Disney. I say, forget the transfers, and rent a car which would cost about the same as the transfers anyway. Then you can come and go offsite as you please, do grocery stop, etc. We had never been to Florida before, and we found Sanford to be a very nice, easy airport to navigate, and find our way from.
