Should I rearrange my whole schedule so my 5 yo can see the Spectromagic Parade?

We have never seen Spectro - it just doesn't seem to ever be showing on our planned days to MK. Although, I would like to see it some day, I have never planned my itinerary around it. Things like avoiding EMH, least crowded day, etc. are more important to me. So, I always say ... maybe next time!

My kids LOVE SPectromagic. It was the best parade for kids at WDW. Definitely change your schedule to see it.

The Parade is called Spectro 'Magic' for a reason. Could not imagine a trip without seeing this parade - it is so special ! :wizard:

I would say don't miss it. This past January I took my eldest son and GD to WDW (first ever trip). We missed Spectro. In May I went back solo and got to see it. It was wonderful, but not as wonderful as seeing the look of wonder on the little kids' faces around me. In Sept I took my younger son and D-I-L and got to see Spectro again. We got there early and had perfect seats sitting on the curb. There were two families behind us (one with three girls and one with one girl). We told their parents to let them move up with us to watch the parade and we'd keep an eye on them. They did and the father of three plopped the three year old right onto my D-I-L's lap. I don't know who was more suprised my D-I-L or the little girl, but my D-I-L has always been a magnet for kids and this one proved no exception. The look on those little girls' faces and the way the three year old kept grabbing my D-I-L's face and saying 'look, look' was priceless. When it was over the other girls moved back to the parents, but the three year old kept ahold of my D-I-L's hand and seemed to almost be in a trance with a wonderful grin on her face. At that moment I sincerely regretted missing Spectro with my GD back in January and made the decision that I was taking her back next spring and there was no way we were missing Spectro. Don't miss the chance to see that look on your child's face.
AWWWWW!!! How sweet of y'all! That's Disney magic for sure! How kind of your DIL, to let the little girl stay in her lap. I'm almost in tears; it's so sweet.

when we were there in June my DD who was then 5 wanted to see Spectro everynight(we saw it 4 times)..she can't wait to go back in Dec and see it but we are not usually in the parks in the afternoon to see the parades so maybe that's the attraction or maybe it's because it is magic..You can't see and do everything...I know that it is a must for us.

Another vote for changing. IMO Spectro and Wishes makes my trip to WDW much more magical!

Spectro gets me all choked up. It's that Disney music every time!! Actually, my whole family gets a little teary!! Personally, I think all of the nighttime spectaculars are must sees.

We switched our plans to include Spectromagic when the hours and parade schedules came out, which meant canceling ADRs and making new ones. It's worth it though. The parade truly is a magical experience and DS6 and DD4 loved it when we saw it in April and can't wait to see it again. Plus, it is perfectly followed up by Wishes.

Good luck deciding.

Thanks for all your responses. The best thing about this board is the instant gratification! Answers just POUR in when I post a question. :goodvibes

I'm not going to change any dinner reservations, but I'll keep all your recommendations to see it if I can in mind - our last evening is actually "free time," and the parade runs that night, so it may be a nice way to wrap up our trip. (And we will already have seen the fireworks by then.... so we could beat the crowds back to our resort right after the parade before our early flight the next a.m.).

Thanks!

Spectro Magic is a not to be missed attraction at disney. In my opinion is is one of the best disney has to offer. Have a magical time and try to experience Spectro..you won't be disappointed!

Disney has (again!) changed their hours for that week. I will be there the same dates as you, that's how I know. MK is now open until 11:00 on Friday and Saturday with 2 Spectromagic parades scheduled on the 12th.

Spectro is definitely worth seeing!!!

Is Spectro running the night you are going to see Wishes? It seemed to me when we were there that the two often ran on the same night. Can you try to change to do both on one night, which is very doable?

My 2 and 4 year olds loved it, but if you have trouble changing ADRs, don't sweat it and stick to your original plan. The parade will be there next time. Your child will love Share a Dream Come True parade with all the characters just as much.

No. The one evening we are there, Wishes is at 9, but there is no parade. Unless, as a previous poster indicated, they have changed the schedule for that night (Nov. 9th).

I'm not going to stress about it. Thanks for all your input!

I've only been to Disney World once, and when I think about our trip, Spectromagic is the first thing that comes to mind. It's wonderful!

Sorry I would would never miss Spectromagic. The Jamm'n Jundgle parade does not even compare. In our most recent trip, we had the choice to stay and see the afternoon parade or go for a nap and come back for Spectro...I walys pick Spectro.
