My family and I are going to DL in mid april. After reading up on all your posts is it worth it for me to purchase at least one AP for me or my DH? Are there that many perks and can I find a DLH that will give us a discount in april and how do I find out?

Hi! Well I would first go to the Disneyland website and check the blackout dates for your trip. If there are some, one would usually buy a parkhopper and then upgrade at the end of trip. That will not get you any merchandise or food discounts while you are there though. I have a deluxe and it gets a 10% food discount almost everywhere besides vending carts.

AP rates have been sparse this year, but April may be alright considering that Easter and most spring breaks are in March this year! We are staying next week at the Paradise Pier for $89. per night thanks to our annual pass. Unfortunately, you won'tbe able to find out for quite awhile (probably March) if there will be any AP rates for April, so I guess it depends on if you are willing to wait to buy your tickets.

Depending how many days you are staying is what will probably determine if it is worth it to you. What were you going to spend on a parkhopper for your trip? A deluxe is $229, but you can always buy a hopper and upgrade upon arrival for the discounts provided there are no blackout dates while you are there. Hope this helped, it's late and I am afraid I've rambled!!! Good luck!
