Should I move?

I received a call from DW asking if I would be willing to move from BC to BW. They said the BC was at capacity so they are trying to move sople. I would get a 100 dollar credit per night. I’m nervous staying at BC with it being so crowded and having to wait for pool time. Going at the end of June! Should I move?

I would take it! I love the BW, though Beach Club is my favorite resort. If they're at capacity I would listen to that. And the credit is pretty dope.

If you're ok with the pool change, it sounds like a generous offer. If it were me, I'd move.

For us it would come down to does SAB mean more to us than $500 (assuming 5 night stay).

I’d switch for that $.

That would be a hard decision for me. We absolutely love the BC, but the $100 per night credit is a pretty nice deal. I'd just worry that the entire time I'm at the BWI I'd be looking over at the BC wishing I was there.

I'd do it. BC is actually my least favorite of the three Epcot resorts. If you have kids though, it seems to me to be the most kid friendly. You are pretty much going to get a real balcony at BW and only that tiny stand on balcony if you get one at all at BC. I'm not a fan of SAB so that wouldn't be an issue.

Might not matter, but I think Beach Club rooms are much nicer. Boardwalk rooms are drab and dated.

Ask for a Boardwalk view!

I would but we love BWI. BC is great too but the price would make me switch. Make sure you are ok with losing SAB. We actually love the BWI pool and slide. It's our favorite slide! You won't have an indoor QS but we don't find that to be an issue. Good luck deciding!

I wouldn't move, but then I absolutely loathe, abhor and otherwise detest BWI. I'd ask them to move me anywhere else. Riviera, Poly or GF would work.

Unless you're referring to the DVC villas, Poly isn't an option. It's not scheduled to open until late July.

Yep, that was my first thought... will you be getting a credit because the room category is less expensive? Disney doesn’t usually give consolation credits, especially $100 per night ones.

Personally I wouldn't given that BC has a CM monitoring guest entrance to the pool area via scanning Magic Bands, and BWI does not. BWI's pool is also unappealing to me since they redecorated the pool. And naturally, its pool is not nearly as nice as Stormalong Bay regardless of the decoration.

We moved from YC standard view to AKV savannah view and received around $80/night credit.

In your situation, if the room category is the same and you get the $100/night credit then I would say maybe consider the move. If the room category is better at BWV then surely consider. If the room category is BETTER then definitely consider.

If you are planning pool days and you are looking forward to SAB then I would maybe see if you could get a bigger room to make up for the change. Not matter what YOU decide to do, have fun !!

It doesn't matter...they can just move them to the DVC side. This is what happened to us earlier in the year....Poly is certainly an option.

We love the Boardwalk, and are staying there on our upcoming trip. I've never stayed at the BC, so I can't compare the two. We changed from YC to BW for our trip because we are getting a bigger discount at the BW. Some love the BC and some love the BW, so it's very subjective. So many things factor in, in deciding what hotel you want. I remember reading on Dis several years ago, someone refused to stay at the YC because the headboards had ship steering wheels in them The pool is a big factor when deciding whether to switch. I'm bias toward BW, but that $100 a night is pretty appealing
