Should I let Concierge get Breathless for us?

Wednesday is the 90 day mark for our 15th anniversary, which we are spending at the BWI concierge. So far the pre-planning staff has made all of our PS for us, but I am nervous about this one. Should I just let them do it for me or get up early and try myself also? I already told them that if they could not get the Breathless to get a regular Illuminations Cruise instead, but DH would really like the Breathless. Last trip the Poly concierge got CRT for me a month before our trip, but this is just one boat!

I don't know anything about the one you're trying to get, but I'd definitely let the concierge people try to get it for you. My understanding of what they do is to have the request already in the computer waiting for 7:00 am on the 90th day (or earlier if they open the phone lines early), and so your request goes in the second it opens. They got us booked for CRT on the day we wanted within 10 minutes of the time I had requested. I was scared like you and thought about trying to get it myself in addition to letting them put in the request, but I got scared that the 2 reservations might get caught and somehow cancel each other out. (Worst case scenario!) I'd definitely let them do it.

Hope this helps!

Why wait?! They should be able to get it for you now! They made all my PS's before the 90 day mark.

It's a beautiful boat! Pete had a really nice video of it posted on the theme park brd. It was quite a while ago, but hopefully, if the search is working you can find it!

Let the IPO do it. Alana was able to sbag an Illuminations cruise at the alst minute for me. Let them know now that you want it. They have a better chance of getting it for you.
I will be on it Thursday night with some of my LL buddies. Will let you know when i get back how it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a fabulous time Kerry, you are the one that convinced me the BWI was the way to go for this trip! :flower: Where are you staying this trip?

I've seen this stated a few times now and I'd love to know how they do it. We typically always stay concierge and while they'll take our requests well before the 90 day window, nothing is confirmed to me until the appropriate date. I asked this question specifically for our stay in December and was told that they will put my request in as a pending item, but even they couldn't reserve anything until the computer system accepted those dates :confused3 .

I had the same staff working for me and my one top priority request was for an Illuminations cruise. They told me not to worry, but when the reservation window opened up, all the boats were immediately scooped up by the Mousefest Group. I was so disappointed, but Amy told me to have faith and she came through for us in the end. I hope everything works out well for you too.

Tammi is right! They will put all requests intot heir computers and when the 90 day window arrives they are able to make your Ars.
I am staying at the AKL this time. I feel somewhat disloyal, but have beeen assured by Jackie I will love it there!! Leave tomorrow morning and I am so very excited.

The Breathless was an OK nice thing to do if you've never done it or if there is only 1 couple!!

IMHO...I would never do it again. :rolleyes2

We had a party of 6 and that Chris Craft boat is very constrictive. The inboard engine is "between" the 2nd and 3rd seats..so you couldn't talk to each other, dont even think of bringing refreshments onboard, very tight and needed to be seated all the time.

Certainly not worth the $$.

Actually the pontoon boats are a better "party" boat. Lots of room to move about!

They park all boats "under the bridge" and tie them to the abutments for the show...I thought that stunk! :sad2:
The people standing on the bridge had a better overall view..and for free!!

I have done the pontoon boats a couple times now and loved it. The drivers were great and full of information. We had a great view of all the fireworks and the entire show. I truly thought it was money well spent. I am so excited to try the Breathless. Thanks to a very good friend,B T, I am able to go. I am so looking forward to sharing it with other "lounge Lizards" :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

They got the Cruise for me! Yeah
Kerry, tell everyone I said hello! The AKL is supposed to be awesome, you will have a great time!

:cheer2: You're going to love it. Aren't those Epcot pre-planners the absolute best?!

Kerry, have a "wicked" good time with the lizards. Can't wait to hear all about it.

They have been awesome. They have always been extremely prompt about answering my phone calls and emails. Once I get all these PS made, then what am I going to do with myself? :confused3

Wait anxiously for the park hours to be released, plan your daily itinerary, change it around when they modify the park hours, obsess about your room location, hang out at Barnes & Noble and go through all the Disney guide books just in case you missed something, pack, shop and pack again :earboy2: .

I'm so glad you got the Breathless! We've done it twice now and I truly love it! Amy got it for me both times. The second time was way within the 90 days and we couldn't book it for any day we were there in the beginning. Amy kept trying and finally had a cancellation. She grabbed it for me and I was so happy. Yes, they tie the boats up under the bridge but that's what I like about the Breathless most.....because it's smaller than the pontoons they put the Breathless at the front of the pack. Absolutely nothing in front of you and the show on the lagoon. The driver even gets out of the boat in order not to block your view. I love watching Illuminations from around the World Showcase lagoon but the experience of watching it ON the lagoon is quite different!! You'll love this!! The pre-planning staff at the Epcot resorts can't be beat and they're so nice on top of it all! I'd trust them with ANYthing I was planning. :cloud9:

This is completely OT Goodferry but I just had to tell you that I LOVE that picture that you have in your sig - it is absolutely adorable!! <Clears Throat> Ok I will now move out of the way, thank you. LOL princess:

Thanks Aimee, I love that picture too. Shelby said that was the best day of her live. :cloud9:
It was Amy that got the cruise for us too! I hadn't spoken with her yet, mostly with Alana, but I am grateful.
So...my Teval sandals arrived in the mail this morning, when do my park hours come out???
