Me and my wife have Kona Cafe booked for December 12th 2012 at 6:45pm. Then after we planned on going to the beach at the Poly to watch the Wishes at 8. Heard some mixed reviews about it and should I change it? still want to view the wishes on the beach or from the Grand Floridian. Any other ideas?

We have been to Kona, but it wasnt one of our favs. The view for Wishes is great from the beach, and if your lucky you can snag a hammock to lay in while watching. If you can get into'Ohana, or Narcoosee's we liked both of those. We lucked out and got right in to Narcoosee without a ressie, just a phone call from an amazing Bellman at the Poly.

I would keep Kona, but maybe try to get an earlier ADR if you want to catch Wishes at 8pm. There's always a good chance you won't be seated exactly on time, and if you want a seat on the beach, you should get there about a half hour before Wishes.

Don't cancel Kona. It's one of our favorite places to eat and a must do each trip. We have never had a bad meal there. :thumbsup2

Kona has been a must for us since we first had dinner there 2 trips ago. We really enjoy it. Sticky wings are our favorite appetizer, and the Hawaiian bread served with dinner is delicious.

My husband and I tend to spoil ourselves on vacation. In fact, we try to eat at a signature place every night for dinner. Kona is the one exception to that rule. We enjoy eating there and have never had a complaint about service or food. We enjoy it more than Ohana. This vacation, we are eating at Kona once for dinner and twice for lunch. It is one of our favorites. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.

My ex use to love going there as a couple..it was enjoyable..little noisy, but I think its a good couples restaurant

I would keep the ressie, I think you have a great plan

I would keep the Kona ADR but also would try to change it to a slightly earlier time if possible. If you can't book earlier but are able to show up at the podium ahead of your ADR you might get seated early.

We like Kona, we have breakfast there at least one time during our trips. But we tend to have breakfast there later on around 10:00am, We personally have never had a bad meal there, the server let me sub an item for something else. Never made it for dinner. If you haven't tried it you should at least once, and form your own opinon.

We like Kona. I would try to get an earlier ADR but I would keep that restaurant.

We made ressies for Kona at 5PM on 12/12. We figured we would have a early dinner then head back to the park to enjoy the parade and fireworks (feeling full and relaxed!)

we have 6:30 on 12/12. i've never been so i can't comment but we don't plan to cancel as i have also read many good reviews on Kona.
