We (me, hubby and 13 yr old son) have never done this before and the only seating I could get was for a Category 3 - I've read that these are not very good seats - would really hate to go and not enjoy ourselveds.

So, now I'm wondering if we should cancel it and do it next trip instead

What do you all think?????

We saw the show 3 years ago and I don't remember our seat category. We were about halfway back on the bottom floor. The show was fantanstic and we still laugh when we talk about it!

We sat on the balcony at the side last August and thought the seats were great. It's the only time we've been and I might be tempted to try to get down on the floor closer to the front, but I wouldn't hesitate to sit in the balcony again.

It's a great show and I wanted to book it again for our Sept. trip with my parents and sister coming along, but it's not performed the day we would be able to do it.

Did you book it yourself or ask concierge to get it?

I've heard that there were some seats where your back is to the stage on the balcony - is that true????

Don in the concierge lounge booked all my ADR's and cat 3 was the only thing left - and this was about 2 months ago

Wow, that's really disappointing. They must be very busy, there is like 3 shows a day, right? 5ish, 7ish, 9ish? and for your whole time there only cat 3 is available. Honestly, I think I'd skip it.

We have seen HDD 3 times, twice from great seats right at the stage and once from awful seats in the back, we couldn't see anything because the servers were always walking around in front of us, it was very distracting.

Have Don check for cancellations!

The more I think about it the more I'm tending to cancel it - I'll pop Don an email about checking for better seating and if not will cancel.

ot: See you're going to DLP - have you been there before - we spent 3 weeks in Italy last summer but started off with 2 nights at DLP - it was a great trip - it was busy and didn't get to do everything but we had a great time. If you haven't been before and have a question just let me know - not an experty on DLP but can give you my views.

I see I am in the minority here, but we actually prefer the cat 3 seating , as a matter of fact we could have had two but passed and requested three, it is much easier to see to me from the balcony, you are not having to try and see over someones head, which for us can ruin a show.

I think they are all good seats, there is no real bad seating in there:thumbsup2

Hi there, thanks... I've been hanging out at the DLP Board here and everyone has been really helpful. We are looking forward to our trip there! Glad to hear you had a good time :)

I have sat in Category 3 seats before they made the category seating. The view is very good.

Your back is to the stage only when you eat. During the show, you have to turn around.

HDD is a great show - so much fun!

I prefer the cat 3 seating. No one head is in your way. You do eat with your back to the stage but you are on swivel seats and just turn around. I'm glad you can actually pick your seat.
