ok so i need help heres the deal.

im a dancer. ill just say that to get the point across. i dance 5 days a eek for at least 2 hours a day. i think its ten classes and im in a company and everything. now i dont think this is true because theres someone else whos reallllllly good but people say im the best dancer in my grade. i tried out for the musical at my school because im also into theatre and theres this girl there who thinks shes amazing. shes a realllly realllly good singer and actress but (now i dont want to be mean... wellll ) she cant dance to save her life. but she thinks she can. at the dance auditions she was in the first group cut and i was the last sophomore. she got wicked mad and wouldnt talk to me and kept being all mean and i want to say something else but its not allowed!!!!!!!! :) anyway the other day my theatre director put up a list of people who he wants to dance in the play and she was on it as well as a few girls who dance even worse then her. i just ignored it even though i was kinda upset i wasnt on it when they didnt even make it past the first round at auditions. i said to her "good job you made it and you didnt even try out for that show" she said "ya its wierd. did you make it" i said "no..." she said
"oh... i guess he only wanted the good dancers" i wanted to say something but just walked away. now i dont know what to do. we have a few of the same friends but weve never been friends and shes doing this to someone else too. what do i do?:confused3

I would definitely talk to the director. There's no logic in recruiting a few people when they didn't even make it past the first audition and cuts.

As far as the other girl, I'd ignore her. That's typical girl bully stuff, and as frustrating as it is, you gotta ignore it or you're going to become one of them.

I agree 100% with what Sonya said.

Don't stoop down to her level. If you're a sophmore (I'm a junior) trust me, there will be many more of these kind of girls. That's just the joy of a high school.

If she's acting like this, she probably is expecting you to end up doing something that will get you in trouble at dance class or at school, so surprise her and just ignore her. It'll drive her crazy.

"Kill 'em with kindness"

Hope everything turns out well :)

I completely agree. Don't stoop down to that girl's level. She's just a brat and, she knows that you're better than she is. Just talk to the director. It's truly pathetic how high school girls can act. I'm sorry she's treating you like that. You really are the better person for not saying anything back to her. Be proud of yourself! You're the better person AND the better dancer :)

I'm also a dancer. I think I'm good, and I've heard from others that I'm really good. Seeing this happen would frustrate me extremly. Butu try to keep that lip zipped and let this roll off your back.
Just remember, you dance because you love it, so don't let something like this stop you from having fun doing what you love.
