Should I go to MK the same day I have Boo Bash Tickets?

I have Boo Bash tickets on a Tuesday. Should I go to MK that same day in the morning/late afternoon or go to a different park until the afternoon then head to MK for 7pm? What are crowd levels like on After Hours event days? Please help!

That depends. Do you have other days scheduled at MK? Or, will you only have Boo Bash time in MK? If you have other days scheduled there, I'd think time is better used in another park on that day. But, if you only have that day to enjoy MK, tour in the morning/ early afternoon, head back to the hotel, and return for the Boo Bash at ...whatever time you want because you'll have a park pass already. If Boo Bash is your only ticket for MK, then you won't be able to enter the park until 7pm. Lots to consider, but have a great trip!

I guess they don't consider this a "party" per se, but an After Hours Event, so ticket holders cannot enter until 7pm.

we have 2 other full days dedicated to MK during the week...2 for HS and 1 for Epcot (nothing for AK since my daughter is too young for Everest and Avatar)

This isn't a party, it's an AH event.

For AH Events you can enter at 7.

There used to be more need to plan around parties because hours changed those days and fireworks for day guests were only on non-party days.

With Boo bash being an after hours party, park hours will not change day to day and fireworks won’t be missing for day guests on party days.

Boo Bash isn’t expected to impact daily attendance like MVMCP and MNSSHP did. So now it only really depends on your personal plans and if you have a hopper. Do you need more time in MK? Or if you don’t have a hopper, it might be convenient to use the advantage of Boo bash being a separate hard ticket and split that day between 2 parks.

I am. I had already worked out my schedule for my trip when Boo Bash became a thing and the schedule I had outlined already just made sense. I'm going to Boo Bash more for the Halloween atmosphere than the short lines so I'm going to do MK during the day as I normally do and then my Boo Bash time is a bonus.

Considering your other park schedule I would most definitely spend the morning at AK if you already have the day ticket purchased. I have 2 toddlers and animal kingdom was our best day on our last trip in April. There’s less to do so you can take it slow and easy. You can go on the safari watch the festival of the lion king and the birds in flight show, go on navi river journey, take the train to rafikis planet watch, and walk the animal trails. I have a boo bash ticket and plan on spending my day at animal kingdom rope drop until early afternoon, go back to the resort take a nap and relax until it’s time for boo bash. We're doing the whole day. We aren't big head-back-to-the-resort-to-swim people. We thought about park hopping, but then we thought it might be nice to stay in the park and just kind of take our time doing everything.

I've done MK on a party day many times before. I loved scheduling a sit down dinner to use as our break to get off our feet and get into the party mood. I'd do the same if we were attending Boo Bash. If you were planning on a park day anyway, it's a lot less effort to be there already and not have to get transportation to go somewhere else. Just be sure to build in break time.

We have been trying to decide the same thing. We finally just decided to make it a relaxing resort day until 7:00.

We don't plan to do MK the day we have Boo Bash tickets. We are staying at an EPCOT resort, so will be doing HS in the AM, leave around 3 or 4 pm, wash up, eat dinner, head to MK (leave around 5:30 or 6 pm for bus transportation). Hoping I can hop into the pool for a quick dip...I plan to eventually swim in every WDW pool
