Should I go ahead and buy Genie+ for my stored tickets?

I currently have 3- four day tickets in my MDE that I am planning on using in January, 2024.- (as of now) They are base day tickets with no Genie + attached to them. I am wondering if I should now or in the very near future go ahead and add Genie + to them. I am wondering if in the future that Disney might place rescritions on the purchase of Genie + on certain tickets?

G+ might be long gone by 2024. I'd leave them alone. Who knows what system we will be using by then. Whatever version exists then will be glad to take your money.
Ok, yes, that could be the case.

I am only planning to use G+ at MK and HS, so I will be adding it on a day-to-day basis. I don't think it will be necessary for us at Epcot or AK, but we are 2 adults who have been there before.

Wow, just re-read your dates were for 2024! No need to buy it so soon.

You mean replaced by something more expensive with less benefits 🤣🤣

Can’t hurt to buy now because if genie doesn’t exist then, wouldn’t it covert to a credit? But if genie is twice the price by then it would be good you already bought it.

Well I do have a feeling I would have to pay the difference in the Genie+ prices. I will with my tickets

To your point I just remembered they’ve even been charging for ticket price increases now when people take the extra action to add G+ to tickets they recently purchased (and then want to add G+ afterward) and plan on using the tickets soon. So maybe just leave well enough alone lol

I agree. There is no rush to buy other than a price increase on Genie+. I didn't buy it for every park, and you may not want to either.

It’s more likely WDW will introduce a 12 ride package system like Paris (90 Euros).

However, in your case, the $180 wouldn’t be too bad if it got converted to credits later (dining for 3). For a party like ours (5 people) and a longer trip (7 days) it would probably be better to just wait.

I don’t understand why they would make you pay for the increase in base prices when you already paid for the tickets (and they’re valid) and this is just an add on.

I'd add it since I think you can cancel it. You will probably save money if they don't change things up.

Depending on what 12 rides, maybe it'll be worth it?! :D
