I would love to go to Sunshine Seasons for dinner on my Epcot day (lunch will be Marrakesh). I plan on visiting Future World before lunch and then heading over to Marrakesh at 1:05 for lunch. I will spend the rest of my day at the countries but I really want to go to Sunshine Seasons for dinner... the menu looks so good!

So my question is... is it worth it to walk all the way to the Land to eat dinner while I'm in the countries? I understand it's not TOO far away but it is certainly out of the way. If it's not worth it, then what CS do you recommend in the countries? I have tried China, Japan and USA but I want to try something new.

I think there are some very nice dinner offerings at Sunshine Seasons...and plenty of seating. It's not that difficult to get there from WS.

Japan has a new CS. New menu, options and all that. But Sunshine Seasons isn't necessarily out of the way IMHO.

If you really, really want to eat at Sunshine Seasons, do FW in the morning, then take the boat over to the far side of WS to have lunch at Marrakesh. Walk the "long" way around WS (past Japan, Germany, China, etc). By the time you get to Mexico, it'll be close to dinner time. Go to sunshine Seasons, then spend the evening walking past Canada, UK, and France, watching Illuminations from the "far" side of WS. HOWEVER, I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Sunshine Seasons unless it was really important to you. I'd eat dinner at one of the WS CS spots; the food is really good.

I wouldn't go out of my way especially because you'll be in WS. There are a ton of good places there. The CS in the UK is good, so is Mexico's.

100% NO! I really don't know what the hype is all about. I've been there once and really am not a fan (much like Cosmic Ray's). It's mall food at Disney prices with plenty of noise, chaos and very bright lighting! :sad2:

If you really wanted to go to Sunshine Seasons, you could always go there for lunch and somewhere in World Showcase for dinner.

I think this sounds like a great plan.

But if you find yourself somewhere else much farther away from the entrance to FW when it's time for dinner, then I would probably look for a place where I am.

We really like it there. Something for everyone. Where else can you snag some hardboiled eggs, maybe some veggie "sushi", a tofu noodle bowl to share among the adults, and mac and cheese for the kidlet?

We have found that the light dims a bit in the evening. At least, we found that after walking all over the WS, trying to find a place that met walk-in, dietary, taste bud, and wallet needs with extended family, and finally pressing on to go to SS. Should have just gone there in the first place!

I don't understand why it gets so many rave reviews either. I've eaten there probably a 1/2 dozen times & never had anything better than mall foodcourt quality at the most. The food isn't horrible, but it's not great either. If we're starving while we're in FW, we occasionally get something to tide us over. It's definitely not worth making a special trip for IMHO. Then again, I don't think WPE is equal to TS either like so many seem to think. So, what do I know?

When you enter Epcot, grab a FP for Soarin' and use it later before dinner. Eat at Seasons, ride Soarin', ride Living With the Land. Make the trip to the Land for more than just dinner. Sunshine Seasons does have a very wide selection!

I have to agree with the PPs who equate Sunshine Seasons with eating in a mall food court. That is literally what I feel like every time I walk in there. We've eaten there a few times, only because we were in the building and starving, but I would never, ever...ever leave WS to eat there. WS has so many other great CS places - UK, Mexico, Japan looks great, Germany (Brats & Kraut...yum!).

It always seems to take a really long time to eat there, since the family always seems to want something from at least 3 different stations. I also think it's a bit overpriced for what you get.

Other than China, I think any World Showcase CS is a better choice. We LOVE Morocco, but there are plenty of other great options up there!

I like the variety of food offerings at Sunshine Seasons and the food has always been good when we have eaten there :thumbsup2

I agree! I go to WDW 4-5 times a year. I'm not a fan of very many CS restaurants, so do mostly TS meals when I'm down there (early lunch then a later dinner). However, Sunshine Seasons is one of the few CS that I do like. I would have no problem making a special trip over there. I like their fish with sundried tomato tapanade, beet/goat cheese salad, and most of their desserts.

I'm not a breakfast eater, but when I was there Nov 27th I decided I was hungry when I got off of Soarin, so ran into Sunshine Seasons planning on getting one of their desserts for breakfast/snack. Instead in the refrigerator case I saw a fruit/cheese plate that looked good. I was surprised at just how good and filling it was. It has some huge strawberrries, fresh pineapple, and three kinds of cheeses. It had probably 20 squares of cheddar and mozzarella cheese plus three triangles of another cheese that had a red rind around it. Those strawberries were the sweetest I had all week.

If there was something I REALLY wanted, I would go back there......

Counter Service meal decisions can be made at that moment, if you don't feel like walking, then don't........if you feel like walking back to the front , then do it.

I find that all the food is mediocre in the counter service locations..... but there are some healthier choices in the Land Pavilion.

I'd stay in World Showcase for sure! My gang and I did not love Sunshine Seasons. In fact, we didn't even LIKE it a lot. My #1 CS choice would be Tangierine Cafe in Morocco, for sure! However, you're eating lunch at Marrakesh, you might not want to do that. We've never eaten at Marrakesh, but Tangierine Cafe is outstanding. We just love their chicken and lamb shawarma platter! YUMMMM!:cool1: Sommerfest in Germany is really good, too.

I adore Sunshine Seasons! It's my favorite CS in EPCOT! Definitely worth the walk back, IMO.
