should I focus resale on Poly or BLT?

DH finally is onboard with a small (100 point) resale at a monorail resort to add to our direct buy we have at SSR (bought in 2008). We even talked to a guide about the BLT waitlist for August, but it's $191 a point at direct prices and I just can't justify that.
We LOVE the Poly for the two of us. We are planning a trip next spring with my DD, SIL and grandson. I think we could all fit in the Poly studio but am focusing more on a BLT 1BR so it's not so awkward for SIL.
Down the road, I think BLT has more flexibility as our younger two children (now almost 23 and 20) hopefully get married and have families too, but dang it I love that Poly atmosphere. I just know that in the years it's a "just us" trip, we will want to stay there, but will pick BLT for practicality if we have anyone else with us.
I do think there is more lakeview inventory in BLT so even if we get Poly we can book it; I've booked a 1BR at 7 months in April of 2012 and a studio at 5 months for October 2014.
No, we can't swing two resales, LOL.
I'm looking at resale websites daily.
Is there something I'm missing that I need to consider in this choice?

Personal choice of course. BLT will be cheaper long term and give you more flexibility. I'd consider slightly larger contracts so you could o a larger group if needed, that way you don't miss out on a great fully loaded contract. As a minimum I'd buy a 10% cushion over what you think you need, closer to 20% if you compare to standard view.

Studios might get old after a few stays, unless you get enough points to book bungalows.

We just faced this exact scenario, although we were looking for more than 100 points. I started with Poly but it was a good bit more expensive than BLT. We also decided it would be nice to have the flexibility to book a larger room, and we certainly weren't buying enough points for a bungalow.

Ended up getting a BLT contract. Another upside is the dues are lower (for how long, who knows). Plus, there were far more BLT contracts available, so we were able to wait it out and make the offers we wanted until we got one.
