For 2010...I plan to get back into scrapping and catch up on my books...
Ok lets say I will try! I did clean my scrap area up yesterday...so that is a start!
whoooohooo! I think I might finish scrapping 8th grade.... now that p365 is over. I only have probably the last few weeks of 8th grade to do and then random stuff...
Cleaning the scrap area is a great start! I got a new organizer for my scrappy tools, and I'm hoping to get it full and get some motivation. We'll see...
I think cleaning your area makes a huge difference. 2009 was the year we de-cluttered a lot in our house but there is still some left to do. One major thing I did was go through pretty much every single craft supply I owned and asked myself if I was seriously going to use it. I had many boxes of things to use "some day" and those were the first to go. There is a thrift store in the next town that is also associated with a school so I knew the supplies would be used one way or another - this thrift shop also donates a lot to those in need so I feel good about bringing things there.
I also went through a lot of my paper and brought bags of it into the pre-school at dd's former elementary school. I knew they would use a lot of it and the woman I gave it to also teaches summer art classes so again I felt good about donating.
We have a Big Lots near us and I would go in there and buy up so much stuff just because it was on sale - but it ended up sitting in boxes. I would also go to ACM every week to use the 40% off coupon just because it was there - and I would buy things whether I needed it or not. I am trying not to do that...as much..
I have been doing more in the craft room the last month than I had the whole year and that's because there was actually space to do things and I could see what I had. This last week I actually had room to use the cricut I bought a while ago and that has been fun. I am pre-cutting some things to
use on pages and...I am actually using paper I have bought!! (I thought it was just for collecting???) I am years and years behind in my scrap booking but I hope I am back on track as I really miss it.
So that's my big confession...I hope we all get to scrap more in 2010!
